Vegas came back in Overtime to beat flames 5-4

Vegas Golden Knights 5 – Flames 4

Both teams evenly match in first period

Both the Golden Knights and Flames scored in the first period and kept it one a piece at the end of the first period. The Flames are the first team to get on the board. The time of the Flames goal was at six minutes and 27 second mark. The goal was scored by MacKenzie Weegar. This was Weegar seventh goal of the season and he got assisted by Mikael Backlund who recorded his ninth assist of the season and it was also assisted by Blake Coleman who recorded his eleventh assist of the season. 

Then Vegas gets on the board shortly before the period is over. Vegas’s goal was scored by Chandler Stephenson. This is Stephenson’s fifth goal this year. Stephenson’s goal was assisted by Jonathan Marchessault who recorded his seventh assist of the season and also was assisted by Mark Stone who recorded his 18th assist of this season.

Second Period all Flames

The Flames scored two in the second period and Golden Knights scored only one goal and Vegas came behind at the end by one goal. The Flames scored in the two minutes and 37 seconds mark to take the lead by one. The goal was scored by Nazem Kadri who recorded his eighth goal of the season and was assisted by Connor Zary who recorded his eighth assist of the season. And the other assisted by Martin Pospisil who recorded his third assist of the season.

Vegas came and tied the game at the five minute mark. The goal was scored at the five minute mark and 20 seconds mark and was scored by Ivan Barbashev who recorded his sixth goal of the season. Barbashev’s goal was assisted by Mark Stone who recorded his second assist of the game and his 19th of the season. This goal when Vegas scored it was a tie game.

Towards the 18th minute mark the Flames scored to be up by one at the end of the period. The actual time of the goal was at 17 minutes and 58 second mark and Yegor Sharangovich scored his eighth goal of the season and was assisted by Elias Lindholm who recorded his eleventh assist this season.

Third Period Calgary tie the game to send it to overtime

Vegas started early scoring two goals to start the period. The first goal was at the six minute mark and was scored by Mark Stone who recorded his ninth goal of the season and was assisted by William Karlsson who recorded his 15th assist this season and Jonathan Marchessault who recorded his second assist in the game and now is at his ninth assist this season.

Vegas then scored again at the 16 minute mark. This time it was scored by William Karlsson who recorded his 13th goal this season and he got assisted by  Chandler Stephenson who recorded 12th assist of the season and Jonathan Marchessault had his ninth assist of the season and his third assist of the game. The Flames tied the game at the nineteen minute mark.

The goal was scored by Yegor Sharangovich, his ninth goal this season and his second goal in the game. Sharangovich’s goal was assisted by Noah Hanifin who recorded his tenth of the season and the other assist was to Nazem Kadri who recorded his 14th assist of the season.

Vegas seals the deal in overtime

Overtime didn’t last long at all and it was only one minute and eleven seconds. The goal was scored by Mark Stone, his tenth goal of the season and his second goal of the game. Stone’s goal was assisted by Jack Eichel who recorded his 21st assist of the season and also assisted by Alex Pietrangelo who recorded his 13th assist of the season.
