NFL Honors Predictions

2024 NFL Honors

The NFL Honors ceremony is coming up this Saturday and that’s when we get to find out all of the awards getting handed out to players. Here I will be talking about my predictions on who is going to win these honors

MVP: Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson is the clear cut answer for this award, after closing out the regular season in amazing fashion. The MVP is a quarterback award and Lamar Jackson made it hard for any non QB to make a case. Jackson led the Ravens to the no. 1 seed in the AFC and a league best 13-4 record. Lamar Jackson finished 3,678 passing yards with 24 touchdowns to go along with it, he also had 821 yards rushing and 5 scores.

OPOY: Christian McCaffrey

This award is almost considered the MVP for non quarterbacks and McCaffrey is definitely the deserving. McCaffrey has made a legitimate case for MVP. This award is between McCaffrey and Tyreek Hill but Hill missing a few games late in the season gave McCaffrey the edge. Christian McCaffrey ended the season with over 2,000 scrimmage yards and 21 touchdowns.

DPOY: Myles Garrett

The defensive player of the year race is a really close one, with whoever winning most likely causing controversy. Myles Garrett led one of the best defenses in the NFL with 14 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, and 30 quarterback hits.

OROY: C.J. Stroud

C.J. Stroud had a remarkable rookie season, he turned a 3 win team into a AFC south division champion. Puka Nakua is a very strong contender for this award after having a phenomenal rookie season but I think Stroud takes this award. C.J. Stroud became the youngest quarterback to ever win a playoff game and this shows why he is deserving of this award.

DROY: Jalen Carter

Jalen Carter has been the favorite to win this award all along. Even though the Eagles defense was disappointing this year compared to years passed Jalen Carter has found a way to shine under the spotlight. Will Anderson made this a really tough decision after having an amazing rookie season, but Jalen Carter takes the cake. Jalen Carter had 6 sacks which was third most on the team in his stellar rookie season

CPOY: Damar Hamlin

Damar Hamlin has one of the most amazing comeback stories we have ever seen. After suffering a cardiac arrest on the field last season and to not knowing if he would ever be able to play football again almost guarantees Hamlin the award. After all that Damar Hamlin went through he definitely deserves this award.
