Golden Knights lose 3rd straight game

Senators 4 – Golden Knights 3

All Vegas first period

The Golden Knights got on the board early with a goal almost into the six minute mark of the game. The goal was scored by Jonathan Marchessault who is recording his 30th goal of the season and was assisted by William Karlsson who picked up his 19th assist of the season. The time of the goal was five minutes and 41 seconds. This was the only goal between both teams that happened during the first period of play.

Senators came back to tie it

The Vegas Golden Knights made the game a two to nothing early within the first three minutes of the game. The goal was scored by Chandler Stephenson who recorded his eleventh goal of the season and two players got the assist on the goal which was a power play goal Shea Theodore recorded his 18th assist of the season. Also getting the assist was Jonathan Marchessault who recorded his 18th assist of the season as well. The time of the goal was three minutes and three seconds.

Ottawa turn to score

The Senators scored a goal in the nine minutes and was scored by Thomas Chabot who recorded his fifth goal of the season and was assisted by Mathieu Joseph who recorded his 19th assist of the season. Also grabbing an assist was Claude Giroux who picked up his 34th assist of the season.

Towards the end of the period the Senators scored a power play goal in the 18 minutes and 47 seconds mark and was scored by Drake Batherson who recorded his 18th goal of the season the goal was assisted by Brady Tkachuk who recorded his 22nd assist of the season. Also grabbing an assist was Josh Norris who picked up his 14th assist of the season.

Ottawa takes the lead

The Senators take the lead early in the third period within the first six minutes of the period. The goal was scored by Josh Norris who picked up his 16th goal of the season and grabbing the assists from the goal Thomas Chabot picked up his 16th assist of the season also grabbing assist was Erik Brannstrom who got his tenth assist of the season. The time of the goal was five minutes and 48 seconds.

Golden Knights tied the game

The Vegas Golden Knights did not give up and wanted to keep the game alive for them. The goal happened towards the end of the period and was scored by Chandler Stephenson who picked up his 12th goal of the season. Picking up the assist of the goal was William Karlsson who grabbed his 20th assist of the season. Also grabbing the assist of the season was Shea Theodore who grabbed his 19th assist of the season.

Overtime no goals

Neither of the teams didn’t score and kept the puck from going in on a three on three hockey in overtime and didn’t score a goal making it stay tied three to three.

Shootout Senators took it

The Senators sent out Josh Norris, Tim Stützle, and Claude Giroux to the shootout in the time and Josh Norris and Claude Giroux were not successful during the shootout trying to score a goal. Tim Stützle was successful with his try to lock up the win for the Senators.

The Golden Knights send out Nicolas Roy, Jonathan Marchessault and Shea Theodore to shoot during the shootout. All three of these players were not successful during it so the game ended after Theodore missed his shot handing the Golden Knights the loss.
