What Happened to Vegas

There is something that happens to Vegas tonight. Either they are tired after playing a home game versus the Colorado Avalanche or just not prepared.

The whole game how it went down

Vegas started early and scored the first goal of the game in the first period. That goal was scored by Ivan Barbashev with eight minutes and 51 seconds left. In the second period the Vegas Golden Knights scored another goal Jack Eichel scored with 13:47 to go into the second period. The third period the Golden Knights went silent.

Third period collapse

The Vegas Golden Knights in the third period for all of a sudden forgot how to play hockey and gave up four goals to the Ducks. Three of the four goals the Ducks had were with the goalie Logan Thompson in net. The last goal to seal the deal for the Ducks is an empty net goal.

Stats for Vegas

The Vegas Golden Knights have scored eleven straight goals dating back to their fourth tally against Winnipeg on November the second. This marks the second such streak to reach a double-digit total in franchise history following a four game span from the 21st of November all the way until the 27th of November 2018 (12). Jack Eichel has  now posted 47 goals, 58 assists and 105 points in a span of 114 games with Vegas since his debut on February 16, 2022. He  owns the most points and fourth-most assists among Golden Knights players through that span.

What Next for Vegas

The Vegas Golden Knights are heading back home to host the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday and will play on that day. This gives the Vegas Golden Knights a couple of days to regroup, relax and get ready for the match up on Wednesday. The last time these two teams met was on October 28th of this year and Vegas ended up winning in a shootout against the Kings.
