Warriors start road trip with a win

Warriors hot start

The Golden State Warriors had a great third quarter against the Bulls scoring 48 points in that quarter. Klay Thompson led the team with 17 points in that quarter. The Warriors held onto a late lead and won the game and started the road trip on a good note.

Second half new beginning

The Warriors failed to hold a lead in the last two games they played. The Warriors offensive explosion in the first quarter. During the second quarter the Warriors had a 13 point deficit. The Warriors came back with Klay Thompson nailing three pointers and only made two of eight. The Warriors in the third quarter had a 25 to nine run in the third quarter. Thompson, who set the NBA record for making three pointers 14 in a single game in Chicago back in 2018, maintained the hot hand through the period. 

Kerr Honored

At halftime the Warriors coach Steve Kerr was honored with a ring of honor for his championship run in the 95-96 season. This was the first class and the Bulls that season were 72 and ten that season. The Warriors beat that record in the 2015-16 season going 73-9 one more win and one less lost.

Warriors lineup switch

The Warriors needed a new lineup to snap out of their slump. The changes Kerr made to the starting five was Dario Saric, Kevon Looney and Andrew Wiggins joining Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. This is the fourth time this season they had a different lineup. It was announced Moses Moody will be out for ten days due to a calf strain he suffered on Wednesday against the Pelicans in the fourth quarter. 

Next for the Warriors

The Warriors have improved their record on the road seven and nine and the Warriors are playing back to back games and will play against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks on Saturday.
