Tuesday 6/11 – Parx Race 6

We stay at Parx on this Tuesday, and we are back with race 6 for the QPW as we have optional claiming fillies and mares going six and a half furlongs on the main track. Weather should not be an issue today for any of the races, especially this one, which is scheduled for a 2:59 pm Eastern time post.

Before we get to the race, I do want to say that I did dabble on Monday with the Parx card. I did rather well, betting on three winners, including a 14/1 winner in the third race where I looked back and wondered how I landed on that horse. I also hit a daily double that helped me make a profit on the day.

Now I need to pick some winners in these articles. I’m reading many of these races well, but not getting the return on the investment I want. But every day is an opportunity to get a new streak going. Let’s get it started today.

Favored in today’s race is the 4 Black Ice (3/1 morning line) who shortened up to today’s distance after just missing by a nose in an optional claimer last month. She won at seven furlongs in march at Laurel and could do it again here. She is going to take money here because of the Mychal Sanchez/Jamie Ness jockey/trainer combination here. She looks like a filly who if she doesn’t have the lead, she will fold.

The 5 Denali Rae (6/1 ML) does appear to be right beside the favorite as they go down the backstretch. She’s another one that will need the lead, but there’s a lot of horses that are going to go for the lead.

The 7 Valiant Majesty (9/2 ML) has consistently gone for the lead in her last six starts and could be doing that again today. I guess you can say that she bounced from that huge effort two races back winning a six furlong race by 11 lengths.

The 8 Flashndynamite (10/1 ML) was scratched in yesterday’s finale and should be running today. Toss that Monmouth turf race because that was on the turf. If you are a turf to dirt angle, this might be your horse, but she’s adding to the front runners here.

This is going to set up for two horses here. The 6 Cause I Said (4/1 ML) should have first crack at the leaders as they turn for home. She is a nose away from a five-race winning streak here. She was bounced around last time out but still found a way to win. She has consistently closed in her last five races and should love what will be happening in front of her.

The 3 Shetalkstomuch (8/1 ML) was very wide last time out in a state bred race but wasn’t close in the end. She won a starter allowance back in March going a mile closing. If she is right, she will be closing here.

Things are going to set up nicely for the closers here. I will go with the more consistent closer here in Cause I Said and call this 6-4-3-7 and my play is $20 to win on the 6. Good luck everyone!
