Max Verstappen wins the Saudi Arabian GP
Post Race Information
Max Verstappen is continuing to defend his title; he did it in the finest style by dominating the race and taking the win at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, while behind him there were a lot of action packed events.
Race itself
Max Verstappen had a great start and he led most of the 50 laps and during the safety car period due to an incident to Lance Stroll losing it and crashing out. Verstappen pitted during the safety car period and handed the lead to Lando Norris.
Verstappen teammate Sergio Perez got a five second penalty for an unsafe release but he held onto the second spot the whole time even with the five second penalty he had second within five seconds.
Leclerc wrapped up the podium ahead of the McLaren of Oscar Piastri, the Australian spent a significant amount of time trying to find a way to pass Lewis Hamliton who was one of the many drivers that stayed out during the safety car period.
Fernando Alonso was the sole Aston Martin on the track since his teammate Lance Stroll who was the reason for the safety car on lap seven when he crashed into the barrier. Alosno holding off George Russell in the latter stages of the race but George Russell ended up in sixth place.
It was a memory for Oliver Bearman to remember as he made his first ever F1 race debut standing in for Carlos Sainz at Ferrari after the Spaniard was diagnosed with appendicitis early Friday morning. The youngster scored his first points by getting the P7, with an impressive drive in which he had many overtakes.
Esteban Ocon was the sole Alpine on the track since his teammate Pierre Gastly had a gearbox failure at the formation lap which left him to retire after Lap 1.

The reason Charles Leclerc got 16 points in the race instead of the original 15 points is he set the fastest lap at the end of the race to gain an extra point in the race. Only the top 10 is awarded that bonus point if they have the fastest lap in the race.
