ESL reveals 16 teams competing at $250K IEM Dallas

The 100th Intel Extreme Masters event will feature 16 teams competing for a $250,000 prize pool beginning Monday at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas.

The event is part of DreamHack Dallas, with elite Counter-Strike 2 teams from around the world also competing for key points toward the $1 million Intel Grand Slam V along with a dedicated spot in the group stage of IEM Cologne.

The group stage begins Monday, with teams competing for one of six spots in the playoffs that will take place in front of a live audience from May 31-June 2.

SCHEDULE/FORMAT
Group Stage (May 27-29): Two double-elimination format groups with eight teams each. The opening matches are best-of-one, and all following matches are best-of-three.

Playoffs (May 31-June 2): The top three teams from each group advance to the Playoffs with a single-elimination bracket and best-of-three matches:
–The Group Stage winners advance to the semifinals
–The Group Stage runner-ups advance to the quarterfinals as the High Seeds
–The Group Stage third-place teams advance to the quarterfinals as the Low Seeds
