Owls Legend Gives Back to Hometown with First Annual Youth Camp

Broward County, FL.- Today (June 22) Broward County legend, Devin “Motor” Singletary, hosted his first annual Youth Football Camp.

Singletary’s roots tie deep into South Florida. Devin grew up in South Florida, attending American Heritage (Delray)(C/O 2016). During his high school career, Devin was rated as a 3-star recruit via multiple recruiting sites. Despite having multiple offers and interest from numerous Division I schools, Motor decided to once again stay home and commit to Florida Atlantic University.

During his time as an Owl, Devin became FAU’s all-time leading rusher, as well as the program’s first of two 1,000 yard rushers (alongside Larry McCammon in 2022). After his historic career at FAU, Devin was drafted in the Third round of 2019 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, where he played from 2019-2023. In 2023, Motor signed a one year deal with the Houston Texans, where he broke into a feature back role. This off-season, Singletary signed a 3-Year, $16.5 Million contract with the New York Giants.

Following his impressive season, Devin had one goal on his mind leading into the summer: Give back to the community that raised him. Earlier this morning, Devin Singletary hosted his first annual Youth Football Camp, alongside his family, former coaches and teammates. Children of all ages showed up to West Side Park in Deerfield Beach to participate in fun drills and activities.

When asked about being able to give back to his community, Devin stated:

“It means a lot for me to be able to give back to my community.” Singletary shared. “I want to be able to be that positive impact in a kids life. I want to show the kids that anything is possible and they can achieve their wildest dreams.”

All in all, today was a great day filled with friendship, fellowship and football. Expect many more camps to come over the coming years.
