Minnesota Lynx forward Diamond Miller will be out indefinitely after undergoing a successful surgical procedure on her right knee, the team announced Wednesday.
Miller, 23, injured the knee in her third game (all starts) this season and averaged 4.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 14.0 minutes per game. She already was on the mend from a separate injury to her left knee sustained while playing overseas in the offseason and requiring surgery.
The Lynx selected the 6-foot-3 Miller with the second overall pick of the 2023 WNBA Draft out of Maryland, where she had surgery on her right knee in 2022.
Last season, Miller started all 32 games for Minnesota and averaged 12.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 26.1 minutes per contest. She earned 2023 All-Rookie first-team honors.
