2025 NFL Mock Draft – Week 5 (Part 2):

  1. San Francisco 49ers: Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State;

An undersized edge rusher with exceptional athleticism to make up for it running a sub 4.5. Quick reactions and burst allow for Carter to zip through blockers to make plays. His long arms and physicality make it so that he doesn’t get shut down by bigger blockers. Already with 3 sacks on the year he’d make an impeccable replacement for Leonard Floyd opposite of Nick Bosa.

  1. Baltimore Ravens: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State;

The prototypical wide receiver, Egbuka is an ideal prospect out of Ohio State. Emeka dealt with injuries last year, but in 2022 was fantastic with over 1,200 total yards and 12 total touchdowns. This year he looks to bounce back as a top tier receiver in all of college football and cement himself at the top of the draft. Bringing in a blue chip field stretcher opposite of Zay Flowers would prove crucial for Baltimore’s offense. 

  1. Philadelphia Eagles: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia;

Starks is easily the most talented safety in college football. With the Eagles having a masterfully built roster they have the privilege of focusing on the best player available rather than need. Malaki is a blue chip safety with across the board perfection, both athletically and on tape. Starks would elevate the Eagles defense significantly.

  1. New York Jets: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado;

Aaron Rodgers has so far been somewhat disappointing for New York. At the ripe age of 40 it would be wise to invest into the future of the team while Aaron can mentor a young quarterback. Shedeur Sanders has all the tools you look for with standout athleticism and great accuracy. With a strong Jets roster around him and a Hall of Fame quarterback to learn from, Shedeur is being put in the best situation a young signal caller could ask for. 

  1. Las Vegas Raiders: Cam Ward, QB, Miami;

Cam Ward is playing good football right now with 20 total touchdowns, the 2nd highest QBR, and the 2nd most passing yards in college football. Mental errors, competition level, and upside are all question marks for the passer. The upside is a superstar quarterback that carries his team to success. The Raiders need to take a chance on this upside as Minshew or O’Connell are clearly not the answer.

  1. Denver Broncos: Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss;

Bo Nix has no star playmakers to help him out on the whole offense. That needs to change if a young quarterback is going to find success. Bringing in Tre Harris would immediately fill that void as a player ready to take over as the top dog day 1. Tre has a great build at 6’3 210 with good athleticism. His strong hands and high game knowledge make him an automatic playmaker currently leading the league in yards with 804 in just 5 games.

  1. Atlanta Falcons: Jack Sawyer, Edge, Ohio State;

Sawyer has an incredible build at 6’5 260 and insane athleticism to go along with it running a 4.6 40. Sawyer has a relentless motor never giving up on the play. He displays a diverse rush pool, quick jump off the line, good balance, and ideal patience making for a technically sound prospect. Sawyer would make for an excellent addition to Atlanta’s defense which is currently lacking a star pass rusher.

  1. Detroit Lions: Princely Umanmielen, Edge, Ole Miss;

An extremely productive pass rusher that would pair magnificently opposite of Aidan Hutchinson. Princely is looking to improve upon last year already having 4 sacks in 5 games for Ole Miss. Princely has plenty of upside to be a star in Detroit at 6’4 255 and running a sub 4.7. If the Lions develop Princely properly they could build the scariest edge rushing duo in the league.

  1. Washington Commanders: Tacario Davis, CB, Arizona;

Jayden Daniels and Washington’s offense are very good. The same can not be said about their defense, especially the secondary. The Commanders badly need to bring in a star corner and Davis is a great option. The long corner is 6’5 190 with the ability to shut down any opposing receiver. Fundamentals and aggression with hands could use some coaching. Overall Tacario is a lock down outside corner with monstrous size and upside. 

  1. Buffalo Bills: Harold Perkins Jr., LB, LSU;

The Bills offense is as good as ever, however the defense could use some help. Harold is an explosive athlete running a 4.45 40 yard dash at linebacker. He is an extremely instinctive playmaker with insane burst and sideline to sideline ability. Consistent and strong tackling standout as he flies around the field and decays the opposing offense. Harold sadly suffered a torn ACL that will keep him out for the rest of the college season. Assuming he will come back healthy, Harold is an elite talent that would be an immediate star alongside Matt Milano. 

  1. Seattle Seahawks: Drew Allar, QB, Penn State;

The most underrated quarterback in all of college football. Drew Allar in his first year starting last season had 29 total touchdowns to just 2 interceptions. This year Allar has 10 touchdowns to just 1 interception. Penn State isn’t a pass happy offense but Drew is the most efficient quarterback in all of college. He doesn’t turn the ball over, has a rocket arm, pin point accuracy, and good athleticism at 6’5. Allar is a dream quarterback to develop and would be going to a great system learning behind Geno Smith. Allar has the potential to fly up my draft board as the year progresses.

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State;

Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren have proven to be an inconsistent and inefficient backfield duo. Bringing in a stud running back would pay huge dues to a Steelers offense lacking playmakers. Ashton Jeanty is currently lighting the college scene on fire. Running with the hot hand Pittsburgh looks to add this explosive back to their renewed offense led by Justin Fields. Jeanty in 4 games has 845 yards rushing with 13 touchdowns averaging 10.3 YPC. If Jeanty keeps anywhere close to this production there is no doubt he will be a day 1 selection. 

  1. Houston Texans: Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina;

The Texans secondary has been a very apparent weak spot. Bringing in a talented young corner would do big things for the Texans if they want to compete against the best of the best. The small school corner would potentially be a superstar in Houston. Revel is 6’3 and runs a 4.4 40 yard dash. He has fluid fundamentals and elite athleticism outside reminiscent of Quinyon Mitchell from last year’s draft class. The torn ACL he suffered as well as competition level should be concerns to buy or beware. 

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan;

The Buccaneers early in the year look like one of the most complete rosters in football. With Baker Mayfield playing like an MVP candidate it would be wise to add a star safety valve for him. Loveland is easily the top tight end this year and the best player available at this point of the draft. Loveland is a strong blocker and great receiving threat with soft hands, good athleticism, and the ability to consistently find the soft spot in a defense. 

  1. Minnesota Vikings: Deone Walker, IDL, Kentucky;

The Vikings defense is playing like the best in the NFL so far this season. Deone Walker would only make a great defense extremely better. Walker is a monstrous pass rushing defensive tackle that will either punish you or eat up 2 blockers. Adding a dominant force to the middle of the front 7 would make Minnesota unstoppable. 

  1. Kansas City Chiefs: Landon Jackson, Edge, Arkansas;

The Chiefs offense is complete, they should invest in their defense. Getting another star edge rusher opposite of George Karlaftis would be remarkable for KC. They bring in Landon Jackson out of Arkansas as a monster prospect to develop. Landon is 6’7 280 and runs a sub 4.7, that is simply unreal. The blend of speed, athleticism, strength, and length Landon possesses is surreal. If the Chiefs could develop him properly, Landon would be a game wrecker.
