FAU Stays Alive With 10-8 Win Over Charlotte In AAC Tournament

After breaking out for 18 hits in their second game of the AAC Baseball Championship, FAU would be matched up with Charlotte, looking to keep their season alive. With help from Jake Millan’s two home runs, the Owls were able to power past Charlotte, despite a late attempt at a comeback. FAU will now face Tulane again, and if they can win two games over the Green Wave, they’ll be playing in the AAC championship.

FAU Tallies 18 Hits To End UTSA’s Conference Championship Hopes

After suffering a run-rule loss to Tulane in their opening game of the AAC tournament, FAU looked to keep their season alive against UTSA. It would be the fourth time in five games that the two teams would face off. The Owls bats would break out of a huge slump, and would upset the Roadrunners to end their chances of a conference title.

Tulane Dominates FAU 14-2 In First Round Of AAC Tournament

FAU came to Clearwater looking to take a first round win over Tulane to start a possible run to a conference championship. However, the Green Wave dominated the Owls the entire game, defeating them 14-2 by run-rule in seven innings. A disappointing loss for the Owls but they still have a chance to advance further into the tournament with a win over UTSA.

AAC Tournament Preview: FAU vs. Tulane

After taking the series finale against UTSA, FAU got into the AAC tournament as the six seed. They’ll take on the four seeded Tulane Green Wave, a team that FAU lost a series at home to not too long ago. FAU entered their regular season finale at home on Saturday looking to avoid being swept by the UTSA Roadrunners. FAU softball: Owls season ends with late inning collapse against FGCU in round 2 of NCAA Regional

FAU Softball (41-16) lost a tough one Saturday evening 3-2 to FGCU (38-20), which brought an end to their 2024 campaign. The Owls were able to grab a 1-0 lead early in this ballgame and held that lead deep into the 6th inning, however a late FGCU rally was too much to overcome in this one for FAU, and with that brought an end to the Owls NCAA regional run after just 2 games.

UTSA Takes Game Two 3-2 In Extra Innings

After taking back to back losses by the run-rule, FAU looked to get in the win column and still have a chance to take the series against UTSA. Trey Beard delivered another very solid pitching outing, and the Owls played a solid game as a whole. However, a catcher’s interference call in the tenth inning gave UTSA the game winning run.
