Atlanta Braves at Colorado Rockies
Spencer Schwellenbach (4-5) vs. Kyle Freeland (3-4)
Marcell Ozuna Over 0.5 Home Runs
One of the best power hitters in the entire league this season is having an incredible series in Colorado this weekend, and a great week as a whole. He’s currently on a three game home run streak, and against left handed pitcher Kyle Freeland, is in prime position to make it a four game streak. Although Freeland’s numbers at home aren’t bad this season, he’s given up five home runs in his last five starts, and Ozuna is the most likely hitter in this Braves lineup right now to go deep.
New York Mets at Seattle Mariners
Luis Severino (7-5) vs Luis Castillo (9-11)
Jeff McNeil Over 0.5 Hits
Luis Castillo has been decent this season for Seattle, but he’s struggled to limit hits in recent starts. He’s given up 25 hits in starts from July 19th to today, and McNeil’s numbers against Castillo are very good. In nine at bats against Castillo, McNeil has four hits, two being extra base hits for a slashline of .444/.444/.889. The Mets are coming off of back to back losses, and McNeil a zero hit day. The bats need to come out tonight to salvage a game of the three game series.
Oakland Athletics at Toronto Blue Jays
JP Sears (9-8) vs. Chris Bassitt (9-10)
Ernie Clement Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI
In the short sample size of at bats that Ernie Clement has had against JP Sears, he’s put up great numbers. In the three at bats against Sears, Clement tallied a pair of hits as well as an RBI. Clement sees Sears well from the right handed batters box, and is having a solid series against Oakland. He’ll go for potentially his second multi-hit game of the series this afternoon.
