After a fiasco of a race on Saturday in the Xfinity series, the NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday may be as hectic. The good news is, practice on Saturday highlighted some of the stronger drivers we may see on Sunday.
Bleacher Brothers has our NASCAR best bets for Sunday’s race at Martinsville.

Outright Winner
Ty Gibbs (+4000)
Call me crazy, but the value on this pick is INSANE. During practice, Gibbs had fastest 15, 20, and 25 lap averages. Not to mention, the 22-year-old was also third in 30-lap averages. If the race has short runs and rain becomes a factor, Gibbs at +4000 is a very good move for gamblers on Sunday.
Chase Elliott (+850)
The 9 team had great qualifying speed on Sunday and as a result, will be starting 2nd on Sunday. Last Fall, Elliott had the top total speed ranking, but finished second. The fan-favorite also finished third during the Spring race. The only problem for the 2020 champion is his average practice times were not the best. With how hard it is to pass at the paperclip, I like him as a winner on Sunday.
Ryan Blaney (+550)
Although the favorite, the 2023 champion will be starting from 32nd on Sunday. Obviously nowhere near the best start for Blaney to start, but his average finish in the Gen-7 at the track gives promise to Blaney bettors. The 12 team has an average finish of 3.5 since 2022, and has two wins. Doubting Blaney is a terrible pick; expect the Mustang to be upfront near the end of the race.

Top Three & Top Ten Finishers
William Byron Top Three (+265)
The two-time winner at Martinsville since 2022 is starting tenth on the gird on Sunday. The 24 team is a great pick for a top three, just because of how well they do at the short track. Since the Gen-7, Byron has finished outside the top eight only twice. With how well the other HMS cars qualified, the oddity of Byron being a little slower gives a good sign on his long run speed.
Ty Gibbs Top Ten (+150)
We completely understand the absurdity of a +4000 winner. So, why not take a swing at a pick more manageable. Ty Gibbs looked to be the fastest overall Toyota on Saturday. If he can stay out of trouble, the JGR driver should be in for a very needed good day.
Prop Bets
Kyle Busch Group Three Winner (+270)
The RCR 8 team was top-ten in all averages during practice, but has to finish ahead of a fast Alex Bowman, Josh Berry, and Tyler Reddick. Busch has not been the best at Martinsville in the Gen-7, but after Austin Dillion’s “win” at Richmond last Fall, the RCR Chevys look to have speed on short tracks. Like the others, if Busch can stay out of trouble, then he could easily have a victory over the other three.
