Scuilla’s Sharp, College Football Bets of Week 12:

The week 12 slate of college football is among us. Last week I went 2-3, the bet of the week hit. I am slightly over .500 on the year. It is time to make some money back, and this week stakes are high for many teams. Let’s get into it.

Texas -20.5 vs Kentucky:

I understand this is a lot of points, but Texas has been through this against even better opponents. Texas smothered Florida when they were 20 point favorites, I expect them to do the same against a worse Kentucky team. Texas might currently be the best team in college football, with Georgia being up and down on the offensive side of the ball Texas has a shot at a national title, I don’t see them slipping up here.

Florida Atlantic ML +130 vs Charlotte:

I know, this looks weird. However FAU HAS FINALLY FIRED TOM HERMAN. Want to know something else? FAU is 5-0 with interim head coaches all time. Want to know something else? FAU has brought back defensive coordinator Roc Bellantoni who is one of the most loved coaches in the building. Morale is through the roof right now for FAU, only issue. Charlotte also fired their head coach Biff Poggi. I give FAU the edge in this one, they are playing at home and are starting Tyriq Starks this week, who helped give his team a chance against Temple. I like the Owls in this one.

Tennessee -41 vs UTEP:

This is my bet of the week, Tennessee is coming off a loss on the road and is desperate for anything and everything they can get for a college football playoff spot. That starts at home against UTEP, beating them by as many points as possible is paramount for their team. Tennessee runs one of the fastest up tempo offenses in the country that inferior programs have trouble stopping, I think they can score often and early against UTEP, and play lights out defense to cover.

Clemson -48.5 vs The Citadel:

I am using the same logic as I am with the Tennessee pick. If Clemson wants a college football playoff spot they need all the resume points they can get. They are this close to that opportunity, they will not be looking past this opponent. Dominant and get out healthy will be the goal for them, not to mention, The Citadels football team isn’t even in the same planet as Clemson.

Louisville vs Pittsburgh over 57 points

As said on The Wild Snap: A Football Show, neither of these teams play defense. My good friend Adam Hoff dished out this play, and he has been hot recently. Hopefully he throws us an alley oop here. Both programs also have talented offenses and quarterbacks, I like the over a lot here. Louisville alone has been getting up there in scoring.
