The week 10 slate of college football is among us. Last week was a smaller slip of bets compared to usual, we took 5 picks. One pick I am voiding is the Army bet, their quarterback Bryson Daily was announced out right before the game, knowing that I would have taken Air Force spread. I feel this is fair, so the other picks went 2-2. Unfortunately for the first time ever, my bet of the week did not win. Georgia did not cover by 2 points, such a shame. We are still 6-1 on bets of the week, and our overall record is 25-20 (55.6% win percentage). Let’s get into it.
Minnesota -6 vs Rutgers:
This is my bet of the week, Minnesota is playing their best football while Rutgers is playing very poor football. Rutgers is banged up bad, Minnesota is fresh and confident. Rutgers offensive coordinator and quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis left Minnesota and joined Rutgers, Minnesota definitely does not want them to succeed at all on Saturday. Minnesota has superior coaching, quarterback play, and a much more dominant defense, they have also been in every single game this year besides the Iowa game. I believe Minnesota will cover, and are quite frankly the much better program currently.
Army -5.5 vs North Texas:
I understand Army did not cover last week, however their starting quarterback was announced right before the game. I think if Bryson Daily played, Army would have covered. Army is playing one of the worst defenses in the country on Saturday, North Texas has a good offense but Army played great defense. If Army can control the clock and score early, I could see this game getting away from North Texas.
UNLV -13.5 vs Hawaii:
UNLV is REALLY GOOD, they are 6-2 with a 3 point loss to Syracuse and a 5 point loss to Boise State. I really like their quarterback Hajj-Malik Williams, he can make plays with his legs unlike anyone I have seen in college this year outside of Jalen Milroe. Hawaii is bad, they have been on the struggle bus all year long. I could see a scenario where UNLV blows Hawaii out of the water, they just have to make sure Hawaii doesn’t make a late push to backdoor cover if this happens.
Iowa State ML -140 vs Kansas:
I am a huge Matt Campbell fan, he is such a good football coach. This Iowa State football team might win the Big 12, I think they are the superior football team to Kansas and this line is too friendly to Kansas. Give me Iowa State to win outright all day.
Clemson -6.5 vs Virginia Tech:
Clemson is pissed they lost to Louisville on the road last week, they are going to get back on track this week. I love the Clemson staff and scheme, if Dabo utilized the transfer portal a little more I think Clemson would be a top tier program currently. Regardless, Virginia Tech has been really hit or miss this year, and I think against a top 2 team in the ACC they will not cover.
