September 26th MLB Picks: Division Title Races Continue

Baltimore Orioles at New York Yankees

Corbin Burnes vs. Gerrit Cole

Yankees Moneyline & Gerrit Cole Under 2.5 Earned Runs

Tonight’s series finale of the Orioles vs. the Yankees features the best pitching matchup of today’s slate, with Gerrit Cole facing off against Corbin Burnes. In a crucial game for both teams looking to clinch the American League East division title, this should be the most entertaining game on tonight’s card.

The public is on the Yankees tonight with their ace Gerrit Cole on the mound. Avoiding a series sweep is massive for the Yankees as they can clinch the division with this win over the Orioles tonight. For that we’ll take the Yankees one more time against Baltimore, as Gerrit Cole cannot let their division rival come into Yankee Stadium and keep them from winning the division.

The Yankees can only win on the back of Gerrit Cole tonight and limiting runs will be crucial. Other than Gunnar Henderson, Cole has done well against some of Baltimore’s best hitters like Adley Rutschman and Anthony Santander. Besides a blowup start against Boston, Cole has been solid in September, and is coming off of a nine inning outing against Oakland.

Tonight has to be Cole’s best start of the year, and for that we’re taking the under 2.5 earned runs line for the final pick of this game.

San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Dodgers

Joe Musgrove vs. Walker Buehler

Over 8.5 Runs Scored, Will Smith Over 0.5 Hits & Fernando Tatis Jr. Over 1.5 Total Bases

This has been a tough series to predict with some great pitching matchups. After missing on the Padres last night, we’re taking the over tonight due to the matchup on the mound. Joe Musgrove and Walker Buehler against both of these offenses should produce a lot of runs tonight in Dodger Stadium.

Will Smith after a hitless night last night looks to contribute more against Joe Musgrove tonight. Smith hits .304 against Musgrove in 23 at bats, and is one of the better hitters against the Padres right hander in this Dodgers lineup.

On the opposing side, Fernando Tatis Jr. has been hitting the ball incredibly well lately. He has a .308 batting average against Walker Buehler and is coming off of a night with a double and a home run. He’s seeing the ball well and hitting it hard lately, and Tatis to record over 1.5 total bases is the final pick for tonight’s slate.
