After splitting the first two games in Los Angeles, the New York Mets will host the Dodgers for Game 3 of the NLCS. With a chance to take the series lead in front of their fans, the Mets will look to stay hot at the plate and provide Luis Severino with some run support while the Dodgers will look to make a statement after their bad Game 2 loss.
Los Angeles Dodgers at New York Mets
Walker Buehler (0-1) vs. Luis Severino (1-0)
Mets ML (-105)
Carlos Mendoza’s group has seemed to settle in both offensively and defensively after securing their Game 2 win. Luis Severino currently has a 2.96 ERA at home this season, and as an offense the Mets have an .893 OPS against Walker Buehler. With three straight games at Citi Field, the Mets need to set the tone tonight and take Game 3.
Mets Player Props:
Pete Alonso Over 1.5 Total Bases (+160) & Over 0.5 Home Runs (+375)
Against Walker Buehler, Pete Alonso has put up great numbers. In 14 at bats, he’s hit for a .357 batting average and a 1.571 OPS. With four home runs as well against Buehler, we’re taking Alonso to tally over 1.5 total bases. We’re also going to sprinkle in the over 0.5 home runs as well.
Jose Iglesias Over 0.5 Singles (-165)
Iglesias is another bat who’s had success against Walker Buehler in the past. With a .400 batting average in 10 at bats, Iglesias has four hits all for singles. For a player who feeds off the crowd at Citi Field, we’ll take Iglesias record a base hit tonight.
Luis Severino Over 15.5 Outs (-110)
As previously mentioned, Severino excels at Citi Field with a 2.96 ERA. He’s gone at least six innings pitched in six of his last seven starts, with the one four inning outing being on the road. If he can work through the Dodgers order the second time around smoothly, he may be able to set himself up for an outing to clear this line of 15.5 outs.
Dodgers Player Props:
Mookie Betts Over 1.5 Total Bases
Against Luis Severino, Mookie Betts has been the best hitter. In 34 at bats, Betts has totalled 11 hits for a .324 batting average and a .954 OPS. He’s also recorded four extra base hits, making the over 1.5 total base prop at plus odds our first Dodgers prop for this Game 3.
Max Muncy Over 0.5 Hits (-135) & Over 0.5 Home Runs (+375)
Muncy has been one of the better bats in this Dodgers offense this postseason, hitting for an .821 OPS. Going up against a right handed pitcher in Luis Severino, Muncy is in prime position to have another big night at the plate if the Mets starter doesn’t have his best stuff tonight.
Walker Buehler Over 2.5 Earned Runs (+100)
Buehler has just not looked like himself this season and with this prop at plus odds we’ll take it as the final pick for this game. His first start this postseason against the Padres was not great at all giving up six earned runs. However he still managed to go five innings pitched, and if he goes that length again could definitely get himself in enough trouble to hit this over.
