FC Dallas starting midfielder Liam Fraser is likely done for the season after undergoing surgery to repair an adductor tendon and sports hernia earlier this week.
It would be tough for Fraser to play again in 2024, based on the recovery time of 12 to 16 weeks released Saturday by FC Dallas.
Fraser has one goal and two assists in 18 matches (17 starts) this season. The Toronto native also has made 19 appearances for the Canadian national team.
Fraser, 26, has one goal and three assists in 81 matches (52 starts) for Toronto FC (2018-21), Columbus Crew (2021) and FC Dallas (2023-24). McGuire played in Belgium for parts of two seasons before signing with FC Dallas.
FC Dallas also announced that defender Isaiah Parker is done for the season due to a fractured patellar. The 21-year-old Parker, who was on loan to North Texas SC, will be sidelined four to six months.
