Breaking: Messi set to make return following ankle injury

Miami Gardens, FL.- The GOAT has returned!

Earlier this morning, Inter-Miami Head Coach Tata Martino announced that Lionel Messi will no longer be on a minutes restriction and could “make his return to the pitch as early as Saturday”.

For those that somehow forgot, Messi, alongside fellow Inter-Miami teammate Luis Suarez, took leave from the club to compete in the 2024 Copa America Tournament.

During the international tournament, Messi’s Argentina squad faced off against Columbia, where he suffered a serious ankle injury. Lionel Messi was ruled out for the remainder of the match, and Argentina would go on to win during extra time.

Inter-Miami handled the superstar’s injury with care, constantly monitoring and nursing his ankle recovery.

Based off Coach Martino’s statements this morning, the legend could return to the pitch as early as Saturday’s match vs the Philadelphia Union.

While I do not believe Leo will skip a beat, it’s worth noting that he has not played in a match since July 14. Messi has also not appeared in a match for Inter-Miami in over three months.

Stay tuned for more updates regarding Messi’s return!
