Youth will be served on the USA Select Team roster, with the collection of the NBA’s future stars set to challenge the U.S. Olympic men’s team that is headed to Paris for the Summer Olympics.
Three members of the NBA All-Rookie first team will be on the USA Select roster: Jaime Jaquez Jr. of the Miami Heat, Brandon Miller of the Charlotte Hornets and Bradin Podziemski of the Golden State Warriors.
Also on the roster is incoming Duke freshman Cooper Flagg, who is projected as the potential No. 1 selection in the 2025 NBA Draft.
The 15-man squad also will include Jalen Duren (Pistons), Langston Galloway (former NBA veteran), Nigel Hayes (Fenerbahce, Turkey), Trayce Jackson-Davis (Warriors), Trey Murphy III (Pelicans), Keegan Murray (Kings), Micah Potter (Jazz), Payton Pritchard (Celtics), Jabari Smith Jr. (Rockets), Jalen Suggs (Magic) and Amen Thompson (Rockets).
The USA Select squad will be coached by the Orlando Magic’s Jamahl Mosley and the team will practice with the Olympic squad in Las Vegas.
The Team USA roster headed to Paris is loaded with NBA stars, including LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns and Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics.
Also on the Team USA roster is Anthony Davis (Lakers), Joel Embiid (76ers), Devin Booker (Suns), Tyrese Haliburton (Pacers), Bam Adebayo (Heat), Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves), Jrue Holiday (Celtics) and Kawhi Leonard (Clippers).
As part of Group C at the Olympics, the American men will face Serbia on July 28, South Sudan on July 31 and a to-be-determined qualifier on Aug. 3 in the first round of the Olympic tournament. Group phase will take place in Lille, France, before the tournament moves to Paris for knockout and medal rounds.
