The New York Rangers placed veteran forward Barclay Goodrow on waivers Tuesday, multiple outlets reported.
Goodrow, 31, tallied 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 80 games during the 2023-24 regular season and added six goals and two assists in 16 games during the playoffs.
The two-time Stanley Cup champion carries a salary cap hit of $3.64 million for each of the next three seasons and the Rangers are reportedly looking to clear cap space.
Goodrow signed a six-year, $21.85 million deal with the Rangers in July 2021, days after New York acquired him in a trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
A Cup winner with the Lightning in 2019-20 and 2020-21, Goodrow has posted 169 points (60 goals, 109 assists) in 572 games with the San Jose Sharks (2014-20), Lightning (2020-21) and Rangers.
