Edmonton Oilers goaltender Calvin Pickard signed a two-year, $2 million contract extension on Friday.
Pickard, 32, went 12-7-1 with a 2.45 goals-against average and .909 save percentage in 23 games (20 starts) during the regular season as the backup to starter Stuart Skinner.
In three appearances (two starts) this postseason, Pickard was 1-1 with a 2.21 GAA and .915 save percentage.
A native of New Brunswick, Canada, Pickard was a second-round pick of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2010 draft and played three seasons with Colorado.
In parts of nine seasons with six teams, Pickard is 47-61-11 with a 2.93 GAA and .904 save percentage in 139 games (113 starts).
