Both teams score in first period
The Vegas Golden Knights started the game early with scoring the first goal of the game. This goal was scored by Sheldon Rempal who recorded his second goal of the season and he was assisted by Paul Cotter who recorded his eleventh assist of the season. Also grabbing an assist is Nicolas Hague who recorded his ninth assist of the season. The time of the goal was at five minutes and two seconds.
The Rangers scored one minute and 31 seconds after the Vegas Golden Knights scored their first goal of the game and tied the game. This goal was scored by Blake Wheeler who recorded his eighth goal of the season. The goal was assisted by Erik Gustafsson who recorded his 18th assist of the season. Also grabbing an assist was Adam Fox who recorded his 28th assist of the season.
Vegas scored two goals in second period
The Golden Knights scored two goals within the first five minutes of the second period. The first goal of the period was at three minutes and 18 seconds and scored by Keegan Kolesar who recorded his fourth goal of the season and the goal was unassisted it made the score Golden Knights up two to one.
The Golden Knights scored another goal in one minute and 12 seconds later after their first goal in the period. Jonathan Marchessault scored this goal and it was his first of three goals in the game. He was assisted by Ivan Barbashev who recorded his 15th assist of the season. Also grabbing an assist is Nicolas Roy who recorded his 15th assist of the season. The time of the goal was four minutes and four seconds.
Marchessault recorded hat trick at the end of the game
The Golden Knights scored early in the first period and towards the end of the period and Rangers scored one to try to play spoilers at the end of the period. The Rangers scored their last goal of the game really late in the 18 minute mark. This goal for the Rangers was scored by Kaapo Kakko who recorded his fourth goal of the season.
