New Orleans Saints star cornerback Marshon Lattimore has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the host Dallas Cowboys.
Lattimore was unable to participate in practice throughout the week and was listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report due to an ailing hamstring.
A four-time Pro Bowl selection, Lattimore recorded two tackles before exiting New Orleans’ 47-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers last Sunday.
Lattimore, 28, has 15 interceptions, 377 tackles and 86 passes defensed in 91 starts since the Saints selected him with the 11th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Rookie Kool-Aid McKinstry will see additional playing time in place of Lattimore.
In addition to Lattimore, the Saints (1-0) also ruled the following players as inactive for Sunday’s game: linebackers D’Marco Jackson and Jaylan Ford, defensive tackle Khalen Saunders, quarterback Spencer Rattler, wide receiver A.T. Perry and tight end Dallin Holker.
The Cowboys (1-0) listed tight ends Jake Ferguson and John Stephens Jr., quarterback Trey Lance, cornerback Andrew Booth, linebacker Buddy Johnson, wide receiver Ryan Flournoy and offensive tackle Matt Waletzko as inactive.
