NFL Power Rankings (10/01)

32. Miami Dolphins (1-3)

Without Tua Tagovailoa, it is apparent the Dolphins cannot beat a single team in the NFL. They lost to the Mason Rudolph led Tennessee Titans at home by 19 points.

31. Tennessee Titans (1-3)

The Titans got their first win of the Brian Callahan era, they knew what they had to do. Control the run game and you will beat the Tua-less Dolphins.

30. New England Patriots (1-3)

The Patriots are looking like everyone expected before the year, it was only a matter of time. They got dominated by the San Francisco 49ers.

29. Carolina Panthers (1-3)

The offense looks better with Andy Dalton under center, but the Panthers defense is still a poor unit. They struggled heavily against Cincinnati.

28. Cleveland Browns (1-3)

I bet GM Andrew Berry and HC Kevin Stefanski wish they could have their draft picks and money back from the Deshaun Watson trade. He has been a disaster, and Cleveland is in the dumps.

27. New York Giants (1-3)

There isn’t a lot of talent on this Giants team, but they fight. They kept it close with Dallas, but in order to move up this list they need to pull those games out.

26. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-4)

There is talent on this team, it’s the only reason they are not closer to the bottom. I think they figure it out and pick up a few wins soon.

25. Las Vegas Raiders (2-2)

A win is a win for Las Vegas, they sneaked one out against Cleveland. It was not pretty, but that’s fine. Vegas’ defensive line is legit, Wilkins and Crosby is a fun duo.

24. Las Angeles Rams (1-3)

Their game against Chicago was one the Rams needed to win, the injuries at receiver for the Rams are killing them.

23. Arizona Cardinals (1-3)

Ouch, just ouch. What a brutal 28 point loss to the Commanders. Not a good look for HC Jonathan Gannon who is a defensive mind.

22. Las Angeles Chargers (2-2)

The Chargers are fighting with Jim Harbaugh, they almost upset the super bowl champion Chiefs this week. Herbert is still fighting through injuries, he’s a warrior.

21. Chicago Bears (2-2)

The Bears play good defense to help out rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. It’s a surprise for sure, I thought before the season it would be the opposite. Things are trending in the right direction for Chicago.

20. Indianapolis Colts (2-2)

The Colts took down the undefeated Steelers this past Sunday, thanks to backup QB Joe Flacco. I’ll say this, the Colts are better when Flacco plays. Anthony Richardsons inconsistency plagues their offense.

19. Cincinnati Bengals (1-3)

This was a necessary win for the Cincinnati Bengals, they had an explosive offensive showing this past week against Carolina. I think of the Bengals like the Jaguars, I think they pick up wins very soon.

18. Denver Broncos (2-2)

These Broncos can fight! They brought the blitz against Aaron Rodgers and it worked. They made Rodgers look bad, they did not allow a single touchdown. Another good win for Sean Payton and his staff.

17. New Orleans Saints (2-2)

Since starting out hot, the Saints have cooled down. They lost their rivalry game against the Atlanta Falcons by 2 points. The good thing for them is both of their losses were winnable and close.

16. Dallas Cowboys (2-2)

Any time you can beat a division rival on the road, you take it. The Cowboys are back to .500, and their defense looked solid against New York. Brandon Aubrey missed a kick as well, something I thought was impossible.

15. New York Jets (2-2)

Losing to the Broncos at home is unacceptable for the Jets if they want to win the AFC East. The Jets had every opportunity to win that football game, their best weapons did not show up.

14. Green Bay Packers (2-2)

There is no way around it, the game the Packers played against the Minnesota Vikings was a mess. Jordan Love is back, he threw a crazy 4 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. The Vikings are a very good football team, however the Packers needed that win at home.

13. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1)

It was only a matter of time before the Steelers dropped their first game. Joe Flacco has the Steelers number.

12. Atlanta Falcons (2-2)

The Falcons pulled out a big rivalry win over the Saints. It was close, the run game and defense helped them pull it out. Kirk Cousins talked about the rivalry, he loves the swag surf from the fans as well.

11. Philadelphia Eagles (2-2)

Another performance like this and the Eagles will be in the 20s of the power rankings next week. They got smacked in the face by Tampa Bay and had no answer. I think they will be much better when Lane Johnson, DeVonta Smith, and AJ Brown are back.

10. Seattle Seahawks (3-1)

The Seahawks were outmatched against the Lions. They had no answers to stop Jared Goff. They are a good team, not a great one.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1)

If it weren’t for a tough Broncos loss at home, Tampa Bay would be in the top 5 of this list. They have looked damn impressive besides that game. Baker is playing even better than he was during his best years in Cleveland.

8. Washington Commanders (3-1)

I’ll admit it, I am rooting for the Commanders this year. Jayden Daniels is awesome, OC Kliff Kingsbury and him are a perfect pair.

7. Houston Texans (3-1)

It was a bounce back division win for the Texans, CJ Stroud looked great as usual despite a lack of a run game.

6. San Francisco 49ers (2-2)

Feed Jordan Mason! The run game and defense smothered the New England Patriots, the two squads don’t play in the same league.

5. Buffalo Bills (3-1)

It was the first tough test for the Bills and they did not look good. Playing in Baltimore is difficult though, the Bills are still a very good football team.

4. Baltimore Ravens (2-2)

This was a huge tone setting game for the Ravens season. They looked scary good feeding Derrick Henry, they are absolutely going to be a force in the AFC this year.

3. Minnesota Vikings (4-0)

Kevin O’Connell is the best coach in the NFL right now, what a job hes done with his squad. Sam Darnold looks good, the passing game is good, the run game is good, and the defense is good. A whole lot of good in Minnesota.

2. Detroit Lions (3-1)

The Lions are the team to beat in the NFC. Jared Goff and the offense looked awesome, Ben Johnson is probably the best play caller in the NFL right now. Once they start playing a little better defense they will be considered the best team in the NFL.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (4-0)

The Chiefs get a nice whistle every game from refs, but hey there is nothing stopping that. They are undefeated and won the superbowl the last two years, until proven otherwise they are the league’s best football team.
