Atlanta Falcons outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter, already ruled out for Sunday’s game at the Seattle Seahawks because of a concussion, was placed on injured reserve on Saturday.
In other moves, the Falcons signed cornerback Kevin King to the active roster and elevated cornerback Natrone Brooks and defensive lineman Demone Harris from the practice squad to the active roster for game day.
Carter, 28, started five of six games for the Falcons and has 15 tackles and two quarterback hits. He will have to miss at least four games.
He has 261 career tackles, 21.5 sacks, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, 33 tackles for loss and 58 QB hits in 89 games (56 starts) for the New York Giants (2018-21) and Falcons (2022-present).
The Giants selected Carter in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Georgia.
King, 29, has played in six games for the Falcons as a reserve and has four tackles.
He has 201 career tackles with seven interceptions, one sack, 30 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 57 games (42 starts) for the Green Bay Packers (2017-21) and Falcons (2024).
The Packers picked him in the second round of the 2017 draft out of Washington.
