In Vegas this past Sunday, the KC Chiefs handily beat the LV Raiders, but the winning team came away with less-than-flattering headlines.
It was the coverage of a little boy supporting the Chiefs who came away with the clicks, when Deadspin Senior Writer Carron Phillips (pronounced “Karen”) decided to call out both the Chiefs & the child for egregious racism that he likened to “Jon Gruden’s Emails.” The child in question was wearing a traditional Native American headpiece with black & red face paint. “Like, super offensive stuff, GUYS!”
The race-baiting, click-driving Deadspin piece shocked nobody, as Phillips is a known activist journalist who makes his money complaining about “injustices.” He’s one of those media members who can’t help but to meld social politics & sports; a strong supporter of the BLMs, the Megan Rapinoes, the Lewhine Jameses, & the Colin Kaepernicks of the world. On Sunday, he had a kid who is years from puberty in his crosshairs. Here’s what he said:
“It takes a lot to disrespect two groups of people at once. But on Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas, a Kansas City Chiefs fan found a way to hate Black people and the Native Americans at the same time. It was as if Jon Gruden’s emails had come to life.”
Wow. Simply Dusty.
You have to be one unhinged MFer to open with something like that. Sadly, it’s not shocking from those of them who cash in what I call “Capitalistic Altruism.”
Capitalistic Altruism is a disease that works similar to a virus: it looks for weak, unstable hosts who are thin-skinned. This causes a weakened immunity to words & pictures. Hosts always have an abundant “savior complex” count in their blood, weakening their resistance to bullies, opposing ideologies, and jokes.
Once the virus settles, they are constantly in a state of agitation & unrest and everything becomes oversensitized (similar to the withdrawal symptoms of coming off of Aderrall). In the worst cases, the carriers become destructive & violent
The disease usually causes other sorts of health complications, as the compromised also become carriers for the “BLM Bumper Stickers Pox,” “Palestinian Flag-Waving Flu,” & “Woke Mind Virus.” Others, albeit a smaller portion, have been diagnosed with “Proud Boys Syndromem” and in some cases, leading to blindness from “Trump Retinal Obfuscation.” In recent weeks, a mutated version of the virus has hit the states, causing the hosts to berate Jewish students.
The only cure is steady rounds of “chemologic” which unfortunately takes months, sometimes years, to work. And while chemologic has a high efficacy rate amongst adults aged +28 years, it is an absolute killer amongst teens & young adults aged 15-27 years. Some never recover.
Here are 11 signs that a loved one has contracted this disease:
-Think protesting is a job
-Difficulty listening to opposing views
-Easily offended (usually ending in name-calling)
-Easily agitated when met with logical opposition
-Think the Rebel Flag is cool
-Think female athletes take a smaller cut of the profit pie
-Watch Stephen Colbert or Greg Gutfield
-Hangs out in chat rooms
-Thinks they can identify as a “Dragon”
-Identifies as a “Gender F*ck”
-Gets their news from TikTok

Now, it is clear that Deadspin’s Phillips was infected long ago. While his medical records have been lost, some say it happened during his time at Morehouse. He is the new modern version of “unapologetically black” which I can respect. In fact, his Deadspin bio exhaults:
“I only eat my wings lemon peppered. And I like brown liquor & brown women.”
I love all three of those things, so we’re cool there. Some might call that a trope, but to them I’d say “stop being so white. Let’em eat.”
While I’m cool with dude having his own views, I’m not cool with him trying to put a child in front of the firing squad in an effort to advance his Critical Race Theory agenda. Don’t believe me? Well, here’s another gem from that same article:
“This is what happens when you ban books, stand against Critical Race Theory, and try to erase centuries of hate. You give future generations the ammunition they need to evolve and recreate racism better than before.”
The proof is in the pudding, people.
What isn’t mentioned in his Deadspin article is how the child in question actually part Native American, a descendent of the Chumash Tribe near Santa Barbara, California. How much ancestry is enough to partake in one’s traditional cultural customs is one I’ll leave you, the reader, to ponder.
Bottom line is everybody is entitled to their opinion. As we near the halfway point of this decade, we’re still seeing a rise in the Jemele Hill-type journalist; political activists who were once a part of major sports media & now trying to blend the two in an effort to make money independently. I see about another two years before we start to see a dip in the financial viability of this type of journalism, but only time will tell.
I’ve been wrong before.
