Several Los Angeles Chargers players and members of the team’s traveling party were rescued from an inoperable elevator at their hotel in Dallas on Friday.
The Chargers were staying at The Westin Dallas Downtown ahead of their preseason game on Saturday.
Dallas Fire-Rescue was summoned after the elevator was stuck in a “blind shaft” between the third and 15th floors of the hotel.
“Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the incident and subsequently assisted everyone from the elevator, one-by-one, through its ceiling panel and into an adjacent elevator,” the Chargers wrote on social media.
“The Los Angeles Chargers thank Dallas Fire-Rescue for their quick response, professionalism and substantial efforts ensuring everyone’s safety.”
Per WFAA.com, 15 people were involved in the incident. It was not known which Chargers personnel were in the elevator.
