2025 NFL Mock Draft – Week 5 (Part 1)

This is part 1 of a 2025 NFL mock draft. Part 2 of this mock draft can be found on my author page and at the end of this article.

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado;

Potentially a generational talent. The dual threat player has been electrifying at Colorado. In 5 games Travis already has 561 yards and 6 touchdowns receiving on offense. Defensively he has 2 interceptions, a forced fumble, 3 pass deflections, and a TFL. There has been no true 2-way player for the NFL yet, the closest was Hunter’s coach, Deion Sanders. Hunter may be the first legit 2-way player as he lines up every snap on offense and defense. He is simply a game changer that would immediately bring a spark to any team. Travis Hunter would fit perfectly with Jacksonville.

  1. Miami Dolphins: Will Campbell, OT, LSU;

Either this team needs to go all in on protecting their quarterback, or they need to get a new one. Tua says he has no plans on retirement, so here they go with protection. Will Campbell is extremely similar to Joe Alt of last year. Insane build with great length and proportionate strength. Campbell is a day 1 star on the offensive line that would sure up Miami’s offensive line.

  1. New England Patriots: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri;

The Patriots lead wide receiver is DeMario Douglas. He is currently outside of the top 115 in receiving yards in the league with 94. If the Patriots want Drake Maye to ever find success they have to get him star talent to work with. Luther is exactly that as a dominant WR1. Luther does it all as a speedster with soft hands, great concentration, and the best route running in the class.

  1. Cincinnati Bengals: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona;

Tetarioa is an elite talent without a doubt and could jump Luther as the WR1 of the class. This talent the Bengals could for sure use with Chase and Higgins waiting for contracts. Most likely one of them walks leaving a void outside for Cinci. McMillan is a massive receiver at 6’5 with strong hands, insane body control, and great game IQ. He’s a great leader who would instantly come in as a dynamic threat for Burrow.

  1. Tennessee Titans: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama;

The Titans have some good weapons, but mostly the offense is a wreck. Will Levis got outperformed by Mason Rudolph, the time to get a new signal caller is up. Jalen Milroe is absolutely explosive. Unlike most Bama QBs Milroe isn’t elevated by his team, he elevates the guys around him. Milroe is a top talent at quarterback with a cannon arm, good size, and killer speed. Not to mention he doesn’t turn the ball over. Milroe could easily become the 1st overall pick by the end of next year and the Titans would be lucky to add him.

  1. Carolina Panthers: Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas;

Bryce Young is not a good fit in Carolina and the Panthers know that. This surrounding cast is no longer in shambles. The Panthers have young playmaking receivers, a good offensive line, a solid run game, and most importantly a good coach. Andy Dalton is excelling where Young failed. Quinn Ewers would be a far better fit with Carolina as an instinctive passer with a cannon arm and good pocket presence.

  1. Los Angeles Rams: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas;

Alaric Johnson is not a trustworthy starting left tackle. The Rams need to address that position if they want to protect an aging Matthew Stafford. Kelvin Banks is a 4 year starter that has dominated against all competition consistently. He’d come in as a strong starter immediately to help elevate this offense.

  1. Arizona Cardinals: James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee;

The Cardinals have allowed the 4th most points in the league and that’s largely due to a weak pass rush. James is a gem athletically running a sub 4.5 at 6’5. Pearce is a bit undersized but considering his length, pass rush moves, and extraordinary athleticism it shouldn’t be a major concern. James was the best edge rusher last year and is looking to continue as the top edge in the draft class.

  1. New York Giants: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss;

Daniel Jones isn’t and never was the answer for New York. They miss out on having an earlier selection but still have a chance to get a franchise quarterback. Jaxson Dart has over a 75% completion percentage so far and 16 total touchdowns to just 2 interceptions. Not to mention he leads the league in passing yards. Dart’s a fantastic deep thrower with great athleticism that a coaching staff would love to develop into a star.

  1. Indianapolis Colts: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan;

Will Johnson is easily the best pure cornerback in the class and best player available at this point in the draft. He’s a blue chip prospect with quick reaction, pristine fundamentals, and ideal athleticism. Will would immediately be the top outside corner for Indianapolis and help this young team take a jump.

  1. Los Angeles Chargers: Mason Graham, IDL, Michigan;

The Chargers have been lacking a stud in the middle of their defense for too long. Mason is a massive nose tackle that would immediately make the Chargers run defense take a jump. Having a top talent at defensive tackle to open up opportunities for Bosa and Mack would devastate offenses.

  1. New Orleans Saints: Nic Scourton, Edge, Texas A&M;

Cam Jordan is nearing retirement and has clearly taken a step down recently. Nic Scourton is a pass rushing specialist with a diverse move set and great burst off the line. Being able to get a talented edge rusher to learn from Cam Jordan would be huge for New Orleans’ future. Nic and Granderson would make a great edge duo the Saints could roll with for years.

  1. Cleveland Browns: Carson Beck, QB, Georgia;

Deshaun Watson is simply not the answer. The Browns offensive weapons are very strong for a losing team. They have a great offensive line, decent receivers, a star tight end, and a superstar running back if Nick Chubb returns. With that in consideration, they don’t need to take a risk on a boom or bust quarterback prospect. Carson Beck is a proven winner and day 1 NFL ready guy. In spite of his lack of arm strength and upside, Beck is the best fit for Cleveland specifically.

  1. Dallas Cowboys: Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas;

The Cowboys have no help for Dak Prescott aside from CeeDee Lamb. Dallas badly needs a new playmaker so they look locally to bring in Isaiah Bond from Texas. The young receiver is a fantastic route runner and smart player with good speed and agility. Bond would immediately open up the Cowboys offense allowing Dallas to get back to blowing up the stat sheets.

  1. Chicago Bears: Emery Jones Jr., OT, LSU;

Caleb Williams has all the weapons around him, except for a good offensive line. Emery Jones Jr. is a top talent at offensive tackle and a sure pass blocker. Emery has experience on both sides of the offensive line, so Chicago would be free to develop him where they see best suit. Maintaining a strong offensive line is the best way to help ensure their young quarterback thrives.

  1. Green Bay Packers: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame;

The Packers secondary has been a weak point for Green Bay whether its Jaire Alexander dealing with injuries or subpar play behind him. Benjamin Morrison would stop that from being a worry. He’s a fast corner with great ball skills and a high game IQ. Good fundamentals and burst allow him to close in on receivers to force a turnover, incompletion, or immediate tackle.
