2025 NFL Mock Draft Before Kickoff, Tackles for Everyone (Part 2)

This is part 2 of a mock draft that is linked at the end of this article!

17. Los Angeles Rams. Harold Perkins Jr., LB, LSU:

The Rams have a strong young defense but lack a commander in the middle of their unit after trading Ernest Jones IV to the Titans. Perkins Jr. reminds me a lot of Ernest and I believe would be a fantastic fit on the Rams with All-Pro upside. Harold is an extremely athletic and versatile linebacker with great game IQ and instincts who would help cement the Rams defense as elite.

    18. New York Jets. Malaki Starks, S, Georgia:

The Jets are a well constructed team lacking many holes. The obvious choice would have been to go quarterback with this selection, but with the first 6 gone I decided to look over to the defense. Malaki Starks is a blue chip prospect that will immediately elevate an already great defense to the next level. Starks is a playmaker for any defense with the ability to turn the tides of a game even in his first year.

      19. Chicago Bears. Mason Graham, IDL, Michigan:

The Bears are projected to escape their rebuild after finally building a competent team led by Caleb Williams. Their defense has majorly improved but there is still much to be desired especially on the defensive line. Montez Sweat and Gervon Dexter I believe will be great moving forward but they lack an elite run stopper in the middle of their defense. Mason Graham would fill in that spot immediately at 6’3 320 with elite strength and athleticism with his incredible size.

        20. Atlanta Falcons. Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas:

Bond was very decent at Alabama but buried on the depth chart. This year he transferred to Texas and I believe will cement himself as one of the best receivers in the country as the top weapon for Quinn Ewers. Bond is only 20 years old with incredible route running and ridiculous speed running a 2.8 40 yard dash. The Falcons are on the rise but still have much to be decided at wide receiver aside from Drake London. Bond would come in as the day 1 primary deep threat which Kirk Cousins has proven to love throughout his career.

          21. Miami Dolphins. Will Campbell, OT, LSU:

The Dolphins have a pretty complete roster after re-signing Tua Tagovailoa, having the best receiver duo in the league, as well as 3 great running backs. The offensive line is very questionable however. They have Terron Armstead and his successor in Patrick Paul, however the right tackle position could use an upgrade. Will Campbell is a stone wall in the passing game for LSU and would be an immediate game changer for Miami’s offensive line.

            22. Green Bay Packers. Tacario Davis, CB, Arizona:

The Packers offense is young and upcoming however the defense’s young players have been disappointing and Green Bay’s secondary has been the weakest aspect, especially when Jaire Alexander is out. Tacario is a mountain in coverage at 6’5 190 with the ability to drape over receivers effortlessly, while still having enough athleticism and good fundamentals to stick to his man. Davis is a dominant outside corner with an insane build and sky high upside even being a sure tackler.

              23. Jacksonville Jaguars. Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas:

The Jaguars finally have a quality group of weapons and their star quarterback, along with an extremely underappreciated defense loaded with stars. The biggest concern by far is the offensive line of Jacksonville. Cam Robinson can never stay healthy and is below satisfactory when on the field as well, they need to look in another direction. Kelvin is a slightly undersized left tackle but makes up for it with pristine fundamentals and dominating strength. He is a blue chip top prospect that would form a fantastic OT duo alongside Anton Harrison.

                24. Houston Texans. Emery Jones, OT, LSU:

Yet another fantastic versatile offensive tackle out of LSU, Jones has incredible size and athleticism at 6’6 315 with monstrous potential. The Texans offensive line is the biggest question on the team aside from Laremy Tunsil at left tackle. Emery currently plays left tackle, but has played right before and wouldn’t miss a beat. Adding a young tackle to start day one on this young outstanding offense would do wonders for the Texans and C.J. Stroud.

                  25. Dallas Cowboys. Ollie Gordon IV, RB, Oklahoma State:

The Cowboys let Tony Pollard walk and brought in a declining Ezekiel Elliot to be their current starting running back. As good as the Cowboys offense is, this running game will do them no favors. Ollie is one of the most exceptional work horse runners I have ever witnessed with incredible size at 6’2 225 and elite athleticism running a 4.45. Ollie has put up monstrous numbers as a one year starter having nearly 2,000 total yards and 21 touchdowns last year. Dallas would be wise to take advantage of a potential generational talent at running back when they need it more than anyone.

                    26. Philadelphia Eagles. Barrett Carter, LB, Clemson:

The Eagles have arguably the best put together roster in the league with premium depth at just about every position lacking any true holes. Linebackers has been the one position that Philly has struggled to find a star at and they believe they finally have one here in Barrett. He is an uber athlete with extraordinary ability sideline to sideline and the Eagles are the perfect situation to develop a young linebacker in.

                      27. Cincinnati Bengals. Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan:

Nearly every great NFL team has a premier tight end, and every conference championship team had one in Travis Kelce for KC, Mark Andrews for Baltimore, George Kittle for SF, and Sam LaPorta for Detroit. This pattern continues whether it’s Jacksonville with Evan Engram, to Philly with Dallas Goedert, Buffalo with Dalton Kincaid, and many more. I view the tight end position as extremely pivotal for an offense to be efficient and consistent, and here the Bengals get their franchise starter. Loveland is a do it all guy with great blocking, a fantastic frame at 6’5, smart route running, and strong hands. Colston is a guaranteed hit in the draft and I believe would be crucial to the Bengals taking a leap.

                        28. Buffalo Bills. Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford:

Buffalo brought in Keon Coleman who I have plenty of faith in, however their receiver room still seems like it’s not enough with Khalil Shakir and Curtis Samuel as starters. Here they go get another star receiver in Elic who has prototypical height, weight, speed and fantastic game IQ. He’s a crisp route runner outside with soft hands and great leadership to help Josh Allen and the Bills fight to finally make a Super Bowl.

                          29. Detroit Lions. Patrick Payton, Edge, FSU:

The Lions have a complete offense and far improved defense, however the edge position opposite of Aidan Hutchinson could still use some work. Here they go get the standout edge out of FSU in Patrick Payton. He is an incredible athlete running a 4.65 at and outstanding 6’5, however he is a little undersized for the position at 254. I do believe Payton is a top tier project pass rusher with elite upside that Detroit would love to get a chance to work with, hoping to make an elite duo with Hutch.

                            30. Baltimore Ravens. Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss:

Zay Flowers is a fantastic young receiver but they need more than just Zay and Mark Andrews for this offense to be high flying, Rashod Bateman is not an adequate WR2. Here they go get Tre Harris the big receiver out of Ole Miss at 6’3 210 running a 4.4 40 yard dash. He tracks the ball down effortlessly with a massive catch radius. His great body control and concentration allows him to make tough grabs deep or through contact. Tre would help take Lamar and the offense to the next level as there would be too many people to cover.

                              31. San Francisco 49ers. Jonah Savaiinaea, OT, Arizona:

The 49ers have a meticulously put together roster through and through with some of the best players in the league at nearly every position. Offensive tackle is somewhat of a concern however with Trent Williams aging and close to retirement, as well as subpar play at right tackle from Colton McKivitz. Jonah is a reliable and versatile tackle that could come in and immediately perform at a high level as their right tackle, with the ability to fill in for Trent as well.

                                32. Kansas City Chiefs. Landon Jackson, Edge, Arkansas:

Landon Jackson is an athletic freak at edge rusher and one of my biggest sleepers this draft class. Landon is a 6’7 282 pound monster with freakish speed running a 4.68, being well within the 80th percentile for an edge rusher in every metric. Landon had a solid 6.5 sacks last year for the Razorbacks and I expect him to keep improving this season. While Jackson is no blue chip prospect, he offers upside unlike any defensive lineman you could find. Landon’s length, athleticism, strength, and work ethic would make for a perfect prospect the Chiefs could turn into an unstoppable force opposite of George Karlaftis.
