2024 NFL Draft Cheat Sheet: #36-#40

Published by: AK98

The NFL Draft isn’t until later this year, so you won’t need to make your travel plans quite yet for the host city, Detroit, Michigan. This doesn’t mean we can’t start building our mock draft boards, though.

With the end of the college football season & all conference championships played, expert analysts have a good idea of who is staying put in college, who is entering the NFL Draft, and where they will be positioned in next year’s draft. Most of you know the household names in college football, but many of you don’t know the 3rd-7th round players who may not only fill out your favorite team’s roster, but will be impact players in the foreseeable future.

And since you asked for a cheat sheet to the 2024 NFL Draft test, I’m here to oblige. Over the next few days, weeks, & months, I will be releasing updated prospect ratings (especially after the combine and player’s Pro Day) for the top 75 players in college football, five players at a time. This way, it’s a steady dose of learning as opposed to cramming information, with no real retention of the material you just read.

As promised, here are the 2024 NFL Draft prospects, as I see them, rated #36-#40:

36. WR Xavier Worthy, Texas

Xavier Worthy’s exceptional speed, both as a former track star and on the football field, makes him a coveted receiver, particularly for his ability to add yards after the catch.

37. CB Kamari Lassiter, Georgia

The son of Cardinal’s great Kwamie Lassiter, Kamari has proven himself as a starting outside corner at Georgia, particularly excelling in physical man coverage and forcing incompletions.

38. QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado

Son of NFL Legend “Prime Time”, Shedeur Sanders’s move from Jackson State to Colorado has enhanced his profile, showcasing his accuracy, anticipation, and ability to perform under pressure. The one troubling factor is he has only been coached by his father in college. Is he merely a system quarterback or a star-in-the-making?

39. WR Ja’Lynn Polk, Washington

Ja’Lynn Polk’s rise in Washington’s offense has been marked by his strong performance in contested catches, making him a valuable vertical threat in any offensive scheme.

40. EDGE Jonah Elliss, Utah

Jonah Elliss’s NFL pedigree and diverse pass-rush skills, despite his smaller size, make him a high-effort, impactful pass rusher. Being a Ute also comes with a certain type of pedigree.
