2024 Houston Texans free agency roundup

TEXANS

What up everyone, your boy PlayActionReal is excited about this year’s NFL free agency moves. The Houston Texans kicked off their 2024 free agency period with a focus on bolstering their defense. They made a splash by signing star defensive end Danielle Hunter to a $49 million two-year deal, solidifying their pass rush and adding a dynamic playmaker to their front seven.

In a essence the Vikings and Texans traded defense ends. They also addressed their defensive needs with tackle Denico Autry adding depth and experience to their defensive line.

Offensively, the Texans focused on adding weapons for young quarterback C.J. Stroud. They signed veteran running back Joe Mixon to replace Devin Singletary they lost to the Giants, and also re-signed wide receiver Noah Brown to give Stroud another big-bodied option in the red zone. Dalton Schultz started their free agency with re-signing as well.

Overall, the Texans re-signed more free agents than I thought they would. This team used free agency to address key areas of need and continue building a competitive roster for the 2024 season. With a strong free agency period, the Texans are looking to make a push for the playoffs and compete for a championship in the upcoming season.

Most betting apps have the Texans +2500 to win the Superbowl, and +1300 to make the big game. I think I’ll jump on both of those wagers early. For entertainment purposes. If you have a gambling problem 1-800 GAMBLER. Must be 21 and over.
