The week 9 slate of college football is among us. The wagon that we always tail Army is on bye this week, that is unfortunate so we will have to make up for it with more winners. Last week I unfortunately went 3-4. Losing weeks are inexcusable, that brings my record up to 23-18 (56% hit rate). On the bright side, my bet of the week hit so we are 5-0 on bets of the week. It’s time to get back on the winning side of the board, let’s get into it.
Georgia -16.5 vs Florida:
This is my bet of the week, I think the Georgia Bulldogs might just be the current best team in the country and the college football world will realize that soon. DJ Lagway has his hands full against what is the best defense in the country, I just feel like he is outmatched in this one.
Army -22.5 vs Air Force:
I WILL TAKE ARMY SPREAD UNTIL THEY TELL ME NOT TO TAKE ARMY SPREAD. Army is back off bye, playing an Air Force team they are much better than, and should be ready to rock and roll. Air Force is outmatched in this one, if Army can play like they have this year they should cover the spread.
Buffalo ML -115 vs Akron:
Buffalo has taken back to back beatings the last 2 weeks, but have a very winnable chance to get back in the win column. CJ Ogbanna is a good, efficient quarterback in the MAC and the Bulls have a damn good quarterback of the defense in Shaun Dolac. I like the Bulls to get back in the win column this Saturday at noon.
Oklahoma -34.5 vs Maine:
Oklahoma football has lost 3 games in a row during a disappointing season, 2 of which were a slaughter fest. However, Oklahoma looked good against Ole Miss and lost in a competitive game. They are hungry to get back in the win column, and decimate whoever is in front of them. Give me Oklahoma by a million.
Navy -10.5 vs Rice:
Navy lost their first game of the year last week at Metlife stadium against Notre Dame, it was not close. I took them last week, and I was wrong. I apologize. They now get the chance to right their wrongs against a Rice team that just fired their head coach. Navy is usually very consistent, but they fumbled and turned the ball over multiple times against Notre Dame. I believe they will turn it back around and beat Rice in convincing fashion.
