Coral Gables, FL.- Breaking News: Miami Men’s Basketball secures commitment from 4-Star Center Ben Ahmed!
Ben Ahmed announced his commitment earlier this morning, via his social media accounts.
Ahmed, a 6 foot 9, 300lb, Center from Putnam, Connecticut, is an ESPN Top100 player in the class of 2025, and the #9 Center recruit in the class. Ben is also the #2 recruit from Connecticut.
Ben holds 13 Division I offers, and chose the Hurricanes over elite programs like Cincinnati, Xavier, St. Bonaventure, Rutgers and Georgia.
What does Ahmed bring to the Hurricanes?
Let me start by allowing you to watch the film. This kid’s special.
As previously stated, Ben’s 6 foot 9 (7’3″ wingspan), 300lb frame provides elite post and paint dominance. Something that I love about Ahmed’s game is his elite left handed shot. Ahmed’s touch is second to none, beautifully floating in shots.
While there is beauty and grace in Ben Ahmed’s game, there’s also power and rage. Ahmed dominates the paint, bulldozing his way to the rim, where he’ll most certainly smash the ball while drawing fouls. Ben is also a rebounding machine, being the prime candidate to retrieve loose second chance balls.
Ben Ahmed is the second commit in Jim Larrañaga’s 2025 recruiting class, joining 4-Star G Matthew Able. The secured commitment of Ben Ahmed is a huge get for Miami’s 2025 class, as the Hurricanes jump from the 52nd ranked recruiting class to the 18th (per the 24/7 Sports recruiting composite).
Miami isn’t done yet, as multiple high profile recruits with ties to the Hurricanes are slated to make their commitments very very soon.
