Coral Gables, FL.- We all knew the stakes of the FSU v Miami matchup last night.
When both teams are bitter rivals both on the field, in the classroom and on the recruiting scene. It’s evident that both teams wisely recruit out of the very talented South Florida pipeline.
Out of the 120+ recruits in attendance to last night’s FSU v Miami game, one name stood out amongst the rest: Adam Balogoun-ali. Adam Balogoun-ali is a 6 foot 2, 4-Star Linebacker from The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens. Adam is one of the top LB recruits in the class of 2026, being heralded as a top 150 recruit in his class, alongside being a consensus top 10 LB prospect. ESPN even rates Adam as the #1 LB prospect in the Class of 2026.
Adam is known for using his elite burst and physicality to make plays. Balogun-Ali is the definition of “see ball, hit ball” linebacker, as his hat is constantly in the action on every play.
Obviously, when a player of this talent level and potential gets into high school, the offers start flying in. If you close your eyes and think of a school, Adam probably holds an offer from that program. Balogun-Ali currently holds 29 Division I FBS offers including both Miami and FSU, alongside other top programs like Tennessee, NC State and Michigan.
Here’s my full post game interview with Adam Balogun-Ali:
Christian: “Adam how you enjoy did last nights FSU v Miami game? “
Adam: “The game went great! I enjoyed being there a lot and the environment was unreal.”
Christian: “How did the visit/game affect your recruiting process?”
Adam: “It just let me know that Miami are the top dogs in the state and my perspective on them is definitely expanding.”
Christian: “Is Miami a top option now?”
Adam: “They’re definitely a team that comes up when thinking about my recruitment.”
Christian: “Looking at guys like Kiko Mauigoa and Wesley Bissainthe and the success that they’re having in the first 8 games of the season, could you see yourself in this LB room/defensive scheme?”
Adam: Yes sir of course. I believe I can play in any type of scheme and think my versatility proves that. Seeing their success is a reflection of coaches like Derek Nicholson, who I’m the closest within the program.
