Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan could miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury, the San Antonio Express-News reported.
“Whatever the doctors tell me when they all look at the pictures is when I will know something,” head coach Gregg Popovich said of a timeline for Sochan. “I’m not going to guess.”
Sochan, 20, sustained a left ankle impingement during Friday’s 130-126 overtime win against the New York Knicks. He sat out Sunday as the Spurs (18-57) fell 117-113 to the Golden State Warriors.
He played in San Antonio’s first 74 games this season and averaged 11.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists.
Drafted ninth overall by the Spurs in 2022, he earned All-Rookie honors in 2022-23 with 11.0 points, 5.3 boards and 2.5 assists in 56 games (53 starts).
