Detroit Tigers at Kansas City Royals
Casey Mize (2-6) vs. Cole Ragans (11-9)
Royals First Five Innings Moneyline
The Royals offense has a very good track record against Tigers starter Casey Mize. In 66 total at bats, the Royals offense hits for a slashline of .439/.448/.652 for an OPS of 1.099 against Mize. After a loss, the offense will undoubtedly look to bounce back and on the backs of their star players and Cole Ragans, should be able to take an early lead against the Tigers and Mize.
Bonus Same Game Parlay (+275) Salvador Perez Over 0.5 Hits, Kyle Isbel Over 0.5 Hits, Bobby Witt Jr. Over 1.5 Total Bases, & Casey Mize Over 2.5 Earned Runs
With how good many of the Royals hitters play against Mize, taking his over 2.5 earned run total makes sense tonight. Salvador Perez against Mize hits .478, and Bobby Witt Jr. hits .500 with a triple and a home run to his name against the Tigers right hander. Kyle Isbel doesn’t necessarily have the largest sample size against Mize compared to Witt and Perez, but he’s been hitting very well recently. In his last 18 at bats, Isbel has eight hits with half of those being extra base hits.
Minnesota Twins at Cleveland Guardians
Zebby Matthews (1-3) vs. Gavin Williams (3-9)
Gavin Williams Over 15.5 Pitching Outs
Gavin Williams has shown signs of great upside for his future in the Guardians rotation lately. Despite a bad outing against the Dodgers recently Williams has been great for Cleveland, going at least five innings in three of his last four starts. Against Kansas City a couple of weeks ago, Williams went seven innings on one hit ball.
Last time out against the Twins, Williams went six innings only allowing one run. With a lineup that hits .138 against Williams tonight, he should be able to navigate through nearly six innings of work, and help Cleveland take game two in the series against Minnesota.
Boston Red Sox at Tampa Bay Rays
Nick Pivetta (5-10) vs. Shane Baz (2-3)
Nick Pivetta Under 1.5 Earned Runs
At plus odds, there is great value with this prop the way Pivetta has been pitching recently. He’s gone six innings in each of his last three starts, two of them being against very good American League teams in the Orioles and Tigers. He hasn’t given up more than two earned runs since August, and with a Rays offense with a .209 batting average against him, he should have a good chance to keep his good stretch of pitching going.
