Juan Soto Can’t Say Enough About Aaron Judge

By Samantha Stephensen

Juan Soto seems to be fitting in quite nicely with the New York Yankees already, but there’s one teammate in particular that he’s particularly fond of. That happens to be their superstar Aaron Judge. Soto couldn’t say enough good things about Judge when speaking to the media, and their chemistry is seemingly getting rolling already.

When asked about Judge, Soto said this, “I knew he was a great guy, but I didn’t know he was that good. Everything, his vibe, everything is good. He’s just thinking positive and he’s just trying to win as much as he can.” Soto also noted that Judge is “even better than he expected.” Luckily for Soto, Judge feels the same way, and has assured fans that he wants to do everything he can to help the team win with the players they have on the roster.

Judge said this, “He’s a New York Yankee. His first year here, I wanted to make it a good one. I want it to be his best year. If he’s feeling right and he’s doing his thing, that’s only going to take us one step closer to a World Series.” Judge and Soto both appeared in Spring Training against the Toronto Blue Jays over the weekend, winning 12-6 in a game that they both had tremendous impact on.

Juan Soto And Aaron Judge Are A Scary Duo

Judge kick-started the batting lineup and went 2-for-2 with an RBI on the afternoon while Soto went 1-for-2. However, he smashed away a huge 428-foot three-run homer that racked up three RBIs and helped keep the Yankees in front for good. I think it’s safe to say that this duo in the batting order could be incredibly fun to watch as the season progresses, and as they build even more chemistry.

The fun might not last forever though. The Yankees are very strapped for cash at the moment with a number of key free agents coming at the end of the season, one of them being Soto. Soto isn’t currently anticipated to sign an extension with the Yankees, so this might be their only chance at winning a World Series together. It would essentially be a one-year rental for his services, as Soto was dealt in a seven-player trade to New York back in December.

Of course, he’s not thinking of leaving and where he might go next offseason. Right now, all he’s focused on is winning with the Yankees, and that’s what Judge wants as well.
