Tampa Bay Rays at Toronto Blue Jays
Taj Bradley (5-4) vs. Chris Bassitt (8-8)
Pick: Taj Bradley o16.5 Outs
The Rays have seen their fair share of injuries come out of the pitching department, and lately Taj Bradley has helped by picking it up on the mound. He’s gone 7.0 innings pitched in his last two starts against the Guardians and the Yankees, and has limited runs in every start since the month of July started. Bradley has lowered his ERA to 2.63 on the season and his WHIP to 1.05. Against a struggling Blue Jays team, Bradley can go out and continue to shove.
San Francisco Giants at Los Angeles Dodgers
Logan Webb (7-8) vs. Clayton Kershaw (0-0)
Total Runs: Under 8
This divisional rivalry has two great pitchers on the mound tonight for what should be a great Thursday night matchup. The under is 5-0 in the Dodgers last five games following a loss, and the under is 4-0 in Kershaw’s last four starts against a team with a losing record. The under is 8-1 in Webb’s last nine Thursday starts, and 7-1 in the Giants last eight games overall. Recent trends show the under eight, not going to overthink it with two great starters on the bump.
Atlanta Braves at New York Mets
Chris Sale (13-3) vs. Luis Severino (7-3)
Francisco Lindor To Record 2+ Total Bases
The Braves are going up against a Mets team right now that is playing some very good baseball. The entire lineup seems to have found their stride into the second half, and with a lot of power hitting righties, Chris Sale may have a tough time navigating through the order. After an insane five-RBI game against the Yankees last night, Lindor to record two or more total bases seems like a great play. He’s been one of if not the best shortstop the entire season in the National League, and betting on the hot bat seems like a good play.
Oakland Athletics at Los Angeles Angels
Ross Stripling (1-9) vs. Kenny Rosenberg (0-0)
Brent Rooker HR (+250 consensus odds)
Brent Rooker is almost certainly going to be dealt at the deadline by the Athletics, so why not raise your value some more and go deep against a lefty starter. Rooker has 23 home runs this season, 13 of them coming away from Oakland, and four of those coming against the Angels. He’s hit a pair of home runs the last seven days, and could very well add to that total tonight.
