Quills Picks Winners – Thursday 4/10 – Keeneland Race 7

Today is our fourth day in a row at Keeneland, and today we have fillies and mares going a mile and a sixteenth on the main track. A field of eight is entered for our featured race of the day.

Keeneland Race 7 – Allowance

Favored in today’s race is the 5 Sudden Switch (5/2 morning line). She comes in from Tampa Bay Downs where she won her debut race near the end of January. She appears to be privately purchased after that race and now runs under different colors and under the care of a new trainer. Her sire screams distance limitations, but the dam side can cancel though limitations off. Look for her to be near the pace today like last time out.

The 7 Crazy Cami (5/1 ML) closed well last time out at Oaklawn at the end of February. She was bounced around on the first turn and had traffic issues at the quarter pole but still closed well. She has consistently shown good energy at the finish in her last three starts.

The 6 Into Amore (3/1 ML) comes in from Gulfstream Park today where she finished second to a runaway winner. She will be near the front here today where there she might have some company.

The 3 Prides Crossing (6/1 ML) returns to the dirt here today at Keenland after finishing off the board on the turf at Tampa Bay Downs. She might be closer to the pace here today than she was last time out. If she can stalk behind the leaders up front, she will have a chance here.

Joe’s Pick

It does look like we could have a speed duel up front here. Into Amore and Sudden Switch appear to be going to the front here today and we will see where Prides Crossing will go. That will set up nicely for Crazy Cami who had issues on both turns of her last race at Oaklawn. She should have a cleaner trip to win this today.

I’m calling my race 7-6-5-3 and my play is $20 to win on the 7. Best of luck everyone and I will see you in the winner’s circle!
