Thursday 12/21/23 – Gulfstream Park Race 2
Let’s head down I-75 and go through Alligator Alley as we spend some time at Gulfstream Park. This is an early race on the card, so this will be a bit of a curveball for all the readers here. Post time is set for 12:39 pm ET, so be ready to go once you see this. This race is going five furlongs on the tapeta here, and this looks like a very interesting race.
The 4 Rolling On (2/1 ML favorite), 7 Loyal Louie (5/2 ML) and the 1 Bella Future all exit the same race from Thanksgiving weekend at Gulfstream, with the first two horses mentioned just missing on winning this race. Bella Future only missed by less than two lengths in a tight race. Loyal Louie may win with a better trip than going 9-wide in the stretch.
But I am going to go with a gelding here that didn’t show anything last time out. I’m going with the 5 No Name Dude (9/2 ML) here. He gets a major rider change improvement in Jose Ortiz, and I think that will keep the gelding involved in the race and not continually drifting outside like he did last time out.
I’m going 5-7-4-1 in the second race of the day at Gulfstream, and I’m going $10 to win on the 5. Good luck everyone!
