Santa Anita Race 7 – Senorita Stakes
After a Kentucky Derby that did not disappoint, we head west for the Sunday Quills Picks Winners as we have eight three-year-old fillies going down the hill for a six-and-a-half-furlong sprint in the Senorita Stakes at Santa Anita. Post time for this Grade 3 race is set for 7:10 pm Eastern time.
The 2 Laulne (5/2 morning line) is favored here and looks to make it 2 for 2 this year after returning from a five-month break to win the Angel Flight winning a head bob closing from off the pace to win. She could replicate that race here today.
The 3 Alluring (3/1 ML) was the victim of that finish last time and could turn the tables with a little bit of better luck here. She has been very tough in all four races in her short career.
The 8 Anitfona (5/1 ML) couldn’t get to the winners last time out in the common race of the Angel flight last time out and could be flying on the outside looking to reverse fortunes today.
The 4 Flattery (3/1 ML) races against the best in the Juvenile Fillies Turf last November here at Santa Anita and will be going down the hill for the first time. Mile hours usually do well when they shorten up to a hill race which this is. She should be flying to win this race here today.
