We head south to Gulfstream Park for Sunday’s race. Today’s featured race is the Any Limit Stakes for three-year-old fillies going six furlongs on the main track. Seven fillies are entered in this sprint stakes race.
Gulfstream Park Race 9 – Any Limit Stakes
Favored in today’s featured race is the 1 Rojo Rita (9/5 morning line). She interfered with a few runners last time out, ducking in after the start in the Forward Gal at Gulfstream before fading in the stretch. Though she was off the board in that race, she was disqualified from sixth to last in her last race. She is the speed, and a straight start will help her get back on track today.
Challenging the favorite from the start from the outside will be the 7 Magnolia Prime (5/2 ML). She broke her maiden going gate to wire here at Gulfstream. She looks like she will be on the lead here, which means she will be challenging the favorite from the start. The positioning will be key here today.
The 3 Unchained Elaine (7/2 ML) was one of Rojo Rita’s victims shortly after the race began last time out. She ran well despite the trouble early on and still finished fourth. I think she is sitting on a big race here today at Gulfstream.
The 4 Hold Your Breath (8/1 ML) won her debut at Parx and heads south for today’s race. She won on the front end and could contribute to the speed up front, but with the break, could she be a couple of lengths behind the leaders?

I think Rojo Rita and Magnolia Prime may go for the lead here and burn each other out here on the front end. That will set things up nicely for Unchained Elaine who got bumped around about a sixteenth into the Forward Gal. She looked ready to pounce at the top of the stretch but was stuck behind some tiring front runners. Look for Elaine to win this here today with a clean trip.
