Saturday 6/8 – Parx Race 7 – Uncle Ernie Race

With all the best racing running up at Saratoga today, we also have our eyes on Bensalem as the unofficial horse of Bleacher Brothers Uncle Ernie will run in a Pennsylvania-bred allowance going 7 furlongs on the main track. Post time for Ernie’s return is for 3:37 pm Eastern time.

The 1 Far Mo Power (3/1 ML) is the favorite here and took advantage of the outside bias in the races at Parx in middle to late April as he closed on the outside to win the Page McKenney Handicap.

The 3 Twisted Ride (4/1 ML) was able to get the lead and lead most of the way until weakening in mid-stretch. He is probably going to be the only challenge for Uncle Ernie on the front end as they race down the backstretch.

Uncle Ernie

Uncle Ernie (7/2 ML) as we have said quite a few times on the Bleacher Brothers shows that Ernie’s best races have been on the lead. If he’s on the lead without that much pressure, he wins. I’m interested in seeing if he can be right at the hip of Twisted Ride if he outkicks Ernie for the lead. But we could see Ernie outkick him and play catch me if you can.

The 4 Beren (5/1 ML) tipped out in the stretch to win an allowance race last time out after tiring in the Page McKenney. But this is his third race back from the layoff so he should be very fit here.

Far Mo Power might be the favorite here, but Uncle Ernie is the horse to beat here. Give me Uncle Ernie to wire this field. I’ll call this 9-4-1-3 and my play is $20 to win on Uncle Ernie. Good luck everyone!

Check out my show “Also Eligible” on Saturday mornings at 10 am Eastern/7 am Pacific as AJ Johnson and I discuss the big races, the latest news in horse racing and much more!
