Welcome to the City of Champions, Philadelphia, PA! The Eagles did it last night! They destroyed the Kansas City Chiefs last night 40-22 in New Orleans for their second Super Bowl championship and fifth league championship overall.

With the bad weather that is coming east this week, it looks like we won’t be seeing a parade on Broad Street until Friday, but until then we might yet right outside the championship city and head to Bensalem for the eighth race at Parx.
Today, we have a short field of six which Tom Brady probably thinks is too large for Kevin Hart. They will go a mile and 70 yards in this claiming race.
Parx Race 8 – Claiming $25k
Favored in today’s race is the 5 My Last Mission (2/1 morning line) might be a fitting name here. Brandon Graham went out a champion last night, and this horse has the green saddle towel today. He’s back today after two months away. Look for him to be forwardly placed here.
What Does It Take (6, 5/1 ML) has the advantage of a more recent race than the favorite here and may challenge for the lead here.

The 2 Roan Mountain (3/1 ML) didn’t show much last time out but he does look like he could close of the two outside horses go for the lead. This gelding reunites with jockey Paco Lopez who rode him to his last win in November.
The 1 Mo Rewards (4/1 ML) gets rewards with a return trip here to Parx after not showing much up at Aqueduct. He just missed in his previous start right after the New Year and will look to close here as well.

Joe’s Pick
I’m on a mission to get a win for the second day in a row, but I am not taking the favorite here. I’ll take Roan Mountain here as he looks like the horse with the best chance to catch the front runners in the stretch.
I’m calling this race 2-1-5-6 and my play is $20 to win on the 2. Best of luck and I’ll see you in the winner’s circle!
