We stay in New York for the Friday QPW. We have 11 horses going a mile and an eighth at Aqueduct for an allowance race. Post time is set for 4:09 pm Eastern time.
Favored in this race is the 2 Pentathlon (5/2 ML) who broke his maiden last time out at Saratoga going that tricky mile distance there. He goes a full two-turns (as I call Saratoga the turn and a half mile) today and should be near the pace here today and looking to pounce as they turn for home. But you can argue that he is facing winners for the first time here today.
The 6 Digital Ops (6/1 ML) progressed nicely from his second race off a long layoff and third career race last month at Saratoga. He had a mild kick at the end there and should like the return to Aqueduct today.
Racing for the second time off the layoff is the 5 Donegal Surges (7/2 ML) who had a major klunker in his return on the mud at Saratoga. I think that is a race that you can ignore. He should be near the pace as well here.
The 4 Reserve Currency (8/1 ML) should be the horse that picks up the pieces if the horses at or near the front start struggling. He did drift in last tine out at Saratoga, but he has won three of his last five races, including two races here at Aqueduct.
Pentathlon has never run this far but has the breeding to handle this distance. Donegal Surges has nowhere else to go but up after last month’s performance. But I like Reserve Currency’s ability to close and be there at the end.
Let’s call this race 4-2-6-5 and my play is $20 to win on the 4. Best of luck everyone!
Thursday’s Race
I do want to touch base in regards to yesterday’s race. There was an article and if you go BleacherBrohers.com, you are able to get the article. But I try to make sure that my friends and followers have every opportunity to get my articles.
However, I whiffed big time yesterday. I did not post the article on my X for all my followers as well as my Facebook page which I have for my friends. By the time I realized this, there was about three minutes to post, and my selection was scratched. I apologize for the blunder and I will make sure I get this article out like I always do.
Now let’s get some winners this weekend! Best of luck everyone!
