T1 recorded a 3-1 victory over Team Liquid on Wednesday to advance to the lower-bracket semifinal at the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational 2024 in Chengdu, China.
T1 posted a 29-minute win on blue and 44-minute victory on red to put Team Liquid on their heels. Liquid responded with a 35-minute win on blue before T1 answered with a 24-minute victory on blue to advance to Friday’s lower-bracket semifinal against G2 Esports.
T1 notched a 3-2 win over G2 Esports in an upper-bracket quarterfinal clash last Friday.
Team Liquid were eliminated with Wednesday’s loss.
The $250,000 tournament began on May 1 with 12 teams competing for a $50,000 grand prize and qualification into the 2024 World Championship. The play-in stage concluded May 5, with the bracket stage opening last Tuesday. The title match is scheduled for Sunday.
