FlyQuest, Monte qualify for playoffs at ESL Pro League Season 19

Two more teams punched their tickets for the playoff stage of the ESL Pro League Season 19 by winning their lower bracket finals Sunday, as Monte and FlyQuest earned Round of 16 berths in Saint Julian’s, Malta.

Complexity also downed Natus Vincere to earn a bye into the quarterfinals. Team Navi will settle for a bye into the round of 12.

With the entire field now settled, the playoffs begin Tuesday.

Monte upended FURIA 2-1, winning 16-14 on Nuke, losing 13-10 on Mirage, and winning 13-7 on Vertigo. Sergiy “DemQQ” Demchenko paved the way with 67 kills, finishing plus-27.

Meanwhile, FlyQuest swept Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-0, winning 13-7 on Ancient and 13-6 on Vertigo. Joshua “INS” Potter was plus-17 on the day, recording 41 kills against 24 deaths.

Complexity won 2-1 after dropping the first map 13-8 on Ancient. They rallied to win 13-9 on Anubis and 13-8 on Nuke as four of their team members finished with positive kills-to-deaths ratios. Michael “Grim” Wince totaled 55 kills to finish plus-18.

The $750,000 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event began with 32 teams broken up into four groups of eight. Group-stage winners advanced to the quarterfinals; runners-up advanced to the Round of 12 as the high seeds; third-place teams advanced to the Round of 16 as the high seeds; and fourth-place teams advanced to the Round of 16 as the low seeds.

All matches are best-of-three until the grand final, which is best-of-five.

The tournament runs through May 12. The winner earns $170,000 and qualifies for the IEM Cologne 2024 event.

The first round of the playoffs will be held Tuesday with four games:
