Jake Paul Crushes Ryan Bourland With First-Round KO

By Nick Martinez

Jake Paul continues to secure wins for himself in the boxing world. He just faced off against Ryan Bourland and made quick work of him. Paul secured a first-round knockout to improve his overall record even further and gave him enough confidence to call out numerous other boxers when it was all over.

Paul had just beaten Andre August in his last fight. August was technically the first professional boxer that Paul had squared off with, and he was able to come out on top. Clearly, the confidence had been growing, because he came out hot against Bourland to finish the job fast. While backed up, Bourland got drilled with a tough right hander to the head before numerous body shots had him stuck up against the ropes. It didn’t take long after this happened for the referee to wave the fight off.

Jake Paul Aims At Canelo And Garcia

When it ended, Paul made sure to call out both Ryan Garcia and Canelo Alvarez. He said, “I’m really sharp. This is my life now. I’m on the road to becoming a world champion. Canelo, stop ducking. I know you want it. I’m repping Puerto Rico, you’re repping Mexico. So, it’s Puerto Rico vs. Mexico. I want Canelo. I want all the big names. Like I said, I’m the face of the sport. Who’s doing more for boxing than me?”

Paul later responded to a post made by Ryan Garcia, who said that he was sick of Paul and wanted to end his reign in the ring. To that, Paul said, “You just seem like you’re losing your mind and acting thirsty and desperate and saying you’re a billionaire when you had one money fight. I’m just saying, just chill bro. If you do want to fight, that’s, to me, light work. You got no footwork. And as long as you’ve been in the game, I’m a better boxer than you.”

As of right now, nobody knows who Jake Paul will fight next. Garcia or Canelo would be a perfect opportunity for him, though neither of them seem like the type to risk taking that fight. Garcia feels more likely, but even that is a longshot considering he’s already got an upcoming fight against Devin Haney on April 20th for the WBC super lightweight title.
